I have bought one for my iPhone XS and have used it for 2 years again. If I could give them 6 stars I would.After 2 years, I'm still using this case. I went back and forth with this and a plastic slim case for awhile, but this one is still my preference. I'm actually considering buying a fresh one because I want to keep my phone another year and i've loaded so many cards and stuff into it I see the seems are starting to pull. Still great quality. I've dropped my phone I don't know how many times inside of it and the glass has stayed undamaged. I only have dings on the unprotected sides from where I dropped it at that angle. But dings are bound to happen over the life of a the phone in my opinion. If I cared about those I wouldn't use this style of a case.Still my favorite leather case I've bought I've attached some photos for you to see the case nearly 2 years old with consistent use.** Original review from 2014 **Best leather pouch case I have bought.I've been using leather pouch cases since my iPhone 4. I've used casemate, spigen and incase and this is my favorite I've ever gotten. The leather is nice feeling. The slots are great. Plus it has support inside the case that helps it kee the shape. I didn't have to stretch it out to make the phone fit. The pull tab works perfect and has a magnet keep it down. The case displays beautiful leather and simple,elegant design. Flannel lining provides great protection. However, there is not enough of a top cut-out on both sides to remove your iPhone manually. Consequently one has to reverse top to bottom and lightly shake the case in order to inch the iPhone downward, thereby allowing removal. The shake becomes easier as the case expands with use.The strap that connects to a magnet has proven useless both when the case is new or slightly used. It is, in fact, window dressing, since the magnet serves no practical purpose, being too weak to prevent any instance in which the phone might dislodge. Furthermore, the interior seating of this magnet leaves an indentation on the outside of the case, diminishing its elegance. I ended up cutting off the strap and will use the case as a backup.This design issue is better solved at StoryLeather.com, as their leather sleeve case is designed to slip between the interior suede lining and the leather exterior, resting beneath the iPhone once it is seated. Pulling on the leather tab slightly lifts the iPhone and is a far more elegant and practical solution for removal. However, this case is more than twice the cost of the Kavaj.UPDATE: Shortly after this review I received an email from Tom, whom I would designate as the American distribution rep for Kavaj. He informed me that the ribbon-with-magnet was designed such that, when pulled, would slightly raise the case to allow easy removal of the iPhone. Unfortunately since I have removed the ribbon, I have no way to confirm his statement, but the very fact that he has written leads me to believe that I should have taken more time to explore the case; that the error was my own. My earlier case for my iPhone 4 was a Beyzacase which was very slim fit leather design. It looked good but when I got the Kavaj case I began to wonder if my earlier case would have really protected my phone if it fell... it probably would not have ! However it was easy to get the phone in and out of that case as you could push the phone up from the hole at the bottom of the case.My feedback on the Kavaj case:Pros - Sturdy, well built case. Definitely looks like it would protect your phone if dropped. Beautiful design and look. Though my teenage daughter mentioned it is 'ugly', so if you're a teenage girl then this case may not be one for you.Cons - I'm not a fan of pulling a tab to have the phone slide out as I worry that at some point it is going to snap or stretch out and make the case unusable. However it is working beautifully for the 2 months I've had it...
