GPU Power Cable

Basic GPU Power cable, no issues so far
I bought this cable not too long ago since I just bought a PC off the marketplace and was missing a GPU power cable. I haven't run into any issues so far, and it's pretty self-explanatory to set it up. For experienced PC builders, there might be some other more specific suggestions on what to look for, but for me personally, I would say just to make sure to do your research on making sure you have the right power cable,e and if I'm not mistaken, to check if there are name-brand specific ones for your PSU.

Faulty
I usually like Cable Matters cables but this one was disappointing. I was a little thrown by the fact that one pin on the RGU side didn't have a contact but upon doing a little research online, found out that this is normal for Corsair PCIe cables. The two far pin receptacles are "sense" pins and you only need one of them. Unfortunately that was where my good fortune ended. Both ends of this cable are extremely tight and hard to sit into the sockets. The original Corsair PSU plugs slid in easily and locked with a click. But that wasn't the worst of it, after plugging one end of this into an open PCIe socket on the Corsair 850x and then the other end into my 5070ti alongside the other two cables that the GPU requires when you use the adapter, my computer wouldn't boot at all. I did a variety troubleshooting steps - testing the PSU, unplugging and letting it reset, putting the old gpu back in and even running with only the built in motherboard Intel GPU. I left the cable plugged in because it wasn't being used for anything. The computer just wouldn't boot or even start. Finally I had a thought and completely unplugged this Cable Matters cable. Voila my computer started right up. So TLDR, the cable has a fault or is shorted in some fashion. I see others have had similar issues so I would probably avoid this cable.

Cleaner look
The cables that came with the power supply had duel ends and looked a bit nappy. Swapped them for these cables wince they only have one termination and therefore no loose ends. Cable management improvement. Simple, clean GPU cables, I bought 1 as I needed a 3rd 8-pin for new gpu, after seeing the clean look of them compared to my corsair psu cables I bought 2 more and very happy with the look. They work really nice, easier to shape and bend compared to my previous stiff cables.

Hi. Ich betreibe mit dem Kabel eine Intel Arc A770 und nutze dafür ein Enermax MarbleBron II mit 650W. Das Kabel macht was es soll und ließ sich gut im Gehäuse verlegen, da es flach ist. Ich bin zufrieden mit dem Kauf. Gruß Yin Wild
