Worked great on my old mailbox post as a primer. Good coverage and dried quickly. However, it was NOT grey, but instead flat black. Because I covered it with black enamel top coat this wasn’t an issue for me. But if you really want grey to match the can too, you may be disappointed.

Excellent primer. Worked better than expected. I will be using it for all my metal projects going forward.

This is really great primer. It dries fast and is extremely smooth. I had no drips at all. The coverage was very good and applying it was very easy. I’m not the best rattle can painter either but this went on very nicely. I used it on aluminum but it’s versatile for other materials. It costs more than other primers but is much higher quality. I’d buy it again!

Primer works good. Can says Grey cor with a light grey cap. Comes out black as coal. So if you are doing a light color on top it will take more coats.

Good stuff work great under base coat clear coat.

Do not purchase this product. After all the prep work on a project I was ready for this primer. It came out in spurts after a short while. I mixed it for well over two minutes and during use. I wiped the spurts right away but now I’m forced to sand the project again (a lot of work )and purchase a different primer to continue the project. Very frustrating. In addition the product was supposed to be gray, the can said gray, the lid was gray but the spray came out black.

U-pol etch primer is a protectant layer on bare metal edges that is a crucial step before painting and clear coatings. Highly recommend
