Unit stopped working call Customer Service b-4 replacing filter & don't discard the old one!
If your unit stops working Descale before replacing the old filter, don't waste your money until you reach out to their Customer Service Dept. They have been helpful, buy I've had to go through hoops that have taken over the last 2 weeks. With no resolution yet.

Good Device; BAD replacement filter!
Love the device; it has worked beautifully for over a year, and it's great having hot water on tap. But it was time to replace the filter. I bought this, and when I put it in, it started spewing out a cloud of white cr@p into the intake tank! And continues to eject a light oily film that accumulates at the top. Absolutely no idea what it is, and the original filter that came with the system never did this. I can only assume that this is some kind of used or badly-remanufactured filter? The water on the output seems ok, so I am continuing to use it for now, but I really don't trust the replacement filters AT ALL. Don't believe me? Watch the attached video. Note that this is actually my THIRD or FOURTH tank of perfectly clear water (my local tap water is already pretty good; we just want to filter out the chlorine). The first tank was SCARY; looked like skim milk. Ultimately, I had to run about 10 rounds of this before it really stopped doing this. But there's still a slight oily sheen detectable on the surface.
