Review: Let’s start off with I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited, I bought it off the lot as is, I never noticed untill a couple of days with it that it had no real thump in the sound, it has real good highs and mids but I turned the bass up all I could hear was crackling in the rear, found out it had the Infinity Premium Sound System in it and the subwoofer in the rear panel was blown, I will be honest getting to it was a tedious choir, anyways after tons of research I chose the Kicker 8” because it’s power handling matches that of the Infinity amp(sub output is 150 watts on a 550 amp) now my ride sounds all around fantastic Hint of Advice, some of these factory subs holes are larger due to its bracket, most are 8’” woofers, get a wide spacer or all you will hear after gerry rigging it is rattling

**Q: i have a 2016 toyota tundra sr5 crewcab wandering if this sub fits**
A: In a stock speaker location? No
In a proper subwoofer box? Yes

**Q: Does the 48cwr84 have two 4 ohm voice coils? or does it have two 2 ohm voice coils.**
A: Wr84 is 4 ohms, the wr82 is 2 ohms

**Q: Are two of these sufficient for country and 80s 90s rock, loud and clear with a good hard kick drum thump?**
A: Subwoofers are better for rap music the baselines are around 20-200hz. Rock music bass is more around a low mid-range 250-500hz woofer instead. In most vehicles you should look for a quality 2 or 3 way speaker that matches the rms watt output and hz range your looking for… I’m not aware of any speakers that can make country sound good.  Otherwise the kicker comp r is a very good budget subwoofer.

**Q: I'm replacing the jbl sub that came with my 4th gen 4runner. Do I need an amp?**
A: Unfortunately with the JBL system you are unable to add an amp. I have a 2021 Tacoma with the jbl system and found out after the fact :( you would have to completely bypass the jbl system with a special kit, in order to add the amp

This isn’t a ‘windy’ sub, and it won’t take a 3k amp, but that’s not what it’s built for. It’s a balance of sound quality and efficiency, still getting reasonably loud. I have one on a recoil red 600, and I still turn it down in my neighborhood as to not ‘advertise’ having audio equipment where I live, so it definitely makes noise. I did extensive testing and settled on a .75ft3 box tuned to 36hz, and in my Outback it plays +-2 dB from 31-110hz.
