How do you measure out the product?

I use a measuring cup with ounces marked on it.

Is this also safe to use on liners and shoulder gaurds?

Yes it is, although it is designed for waterproof, breathable fabrics, and is pricier than "regular" laundry products. I use detergent designed for baby clothes to wash saddle pads and blanket liners.

How many ounces are in this bottle? Is it the 34 ounce size?

yes 34 oz. I can usually get to horse blanket washes out of the bottle.

how many blankets/sheets does one bottle clean ?

many. i think the instructions say to use 5 fluid oz per blanket and this bottle contains almost 34 fluid oz. it's a great product!
