I had a problem with the original remote that came with the Chromecast device over time as the first button that went was the mute button then after that a few months later both the volume up and down buttons stopped responding to the Chromecast, so I decided that it was time to get this replacement remote. Set up was flawless without any problems, and when I got the replacement remote control connected to the Chromecast, everything works fine as every button is responding to Chromecast. Durability of the remote is the same as the original remote control and I'm hoping that this one lasts as long or longer then the original remote control that came with the Chromecast. I'm very happy that the cost of the remote control wasn't an arm and leg, as under $10 is a great price for the item.
