Having the solar light separate adds much more choice wether that's being able to have the light in a non sun light area like shadows or indoors. The cable lengths are more than sufficient, if anything there was too much cable which we had to try cable manage.The remote I thought was a great feature until we used it. It purely sets the mode like you can on the light itself. The on button doesn't maintain a continuous on light like we hoped, so we didn't have to keep activating the motion sensor every 10 seconds. It does mean though if you instal the light high up you can at least change the mode from the ground.The light is extremely bright which is great but also a downside. We don't want to light up all the neighbours houses, so we've had to face the light facing absolutely down, which still lights up neighbours houses slightly.
