The Govee Curtain Lights 2 completely exceeded my expectations. The brightness, clarity, and color accuracy from the 1040 LEDs are incredible — far better than any curtain‑style lights I’ve used before. The RGBIC effects are smooth, vibrant, and genuinely eye‑catching, whether I’m using them for everyday ambiance or special events. The standout feature for me is the DIY GIF/AIGC capability. Being able to upload custom animations or create my own designs takes personalization to a whole new level. It’s surprisingly easy to use, and the results look amazing. Friends always ask how I got such unique lighting effects. Setup was quick, and the app control is intuitive. The lights respond instantly to changes, and the music sync mode is a fun bonus that adds energy to parties or gaming sessions. The build quality also feels solid — nothing flimsy or cheap. If you want smart lights that are bright, customizable, and genuinely impressive, the Govee Curtain Lights 2 are worth every penny. They transform any space into something magical. And they make my next-door neighbor jealous. Now he wants a set. We both try to outdo each other each year; I won this year big time.

These are the perfect addition to an holiday light display or holiday light show. They are worth every penny! The app has preloaded displays for many holidays or even abstract designs. You can make your own designs as well. There is a community with many users who upload their designs—we utilized a lot of the many shared designs and created kid friendly Christmas displays that a lot of the neighborhood kids loved! We used Velcro and molding to attach these to the garage and used cord channel to “weight” the strands to the garage so they can move freely as we open and close the garage door. The garage door does function as normal. I love that there is a schedule feature in the app so that the lights came on for the holiday display and I didn’t have to do anything. There are also features where it can rotate through several designs (and you can decide how long for each design). We used the design feature on the app to make a happy birthday display for one of our kiddos and did a fireworks countdown on New Years. The lights are able to be dimmed or brightened. In my photo they are dimmed as they are EXTREMELY bright! The colors are accurately displayed versus what you see on the designs on the app. I’ve since purchased other Govee products now and have been highly impressed with each one. There’s a great support online with users and their company if you need any help or direction with utilization or installation. If you’re looking for a way to do a light show without having to buy controllers, pixels, channels, and program everything this is the way to go; time conscious and the price is worth it. Highly recommend.

I love these lights. I instantly have access to many holiday scenes that was able to use right away. I like that I can also create my own scenes. The installation was very easy for me. I already have a Govee soffits light so this connect to my existing eco system. Great product.

I absolutely love the Govee x The Wild Robot Curtain Lights 2—they're honestly one of the coolest things I've ever added to my space. The lights are super vibrant and detailed thanks to the 520 LED beads, and the animations are so smooth. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the whole GIF display, but it’s amazing how clear and fun the visuals are. One of my favorite parts is how customizable they are. There’s this DIY feature where you can create your own animations or upload images and GIFs—it’s so much fun to play around with! Whether it’s for a party or just to match my mood, I can always find (or create) something that fits perfectly. The AI feature is also really cool. You can chat with the Govee AI bot and come up with unique lighting effects based on whatever theme or idea you want. I’ve made some wild designs just for fun, and it’s so easy to do. There are also a ton of preset scenes and music modes. I love how the lights sync up with music—it’s perfect for setting a vibe during a party or even just chilling at home. On top of all that, the smart control makes life so easy. I can adjust everything with the app or just ask Alexa to change the lights for me. No hassle at all. What really impressed me is how versatile they are. They’re available in different sizes and even work outside because they’re waterproof. I’ve used them for both indoor decorating and outdoor setups, and they look incredible everywhere. If you’re thinking about getting these, do it. They’re fun, creative, and seriously next-level for anyone who loves cool lighting.

These lights are outstanding but the mounting mechanism is poor. Hence th 4 stars. There are sellers on Etsy that make magnetic clips to hold the light strings and the control boxes and these are 100x better than the supplied ones. Save yourself the hassle of having to peel these off or have them fall off. The supplied mounts may stay on but then you have the mounts in your garage all year round which is unsightly. The after market magnetic ones just pull off. Make sure you use the share space to download many additional graphics and if you want to cycle your graphics set then to auto which can also be triggered by Alexa. You have to be connected by Ethernet to use Alexa.

After a year of using this product through different seasons Ive only become a bigger fan To start this product is really easy to setup. No technical skills required, Govee team did a really good job of ensuring that. Connecting through the app can be done with Bluetooth or wifi making it easy to control from anywhere The app is filled with different options and customizations for your curtains once theyre setup as well. You can update the design in a few button taps via the Govee mobile app. Worth mentioning the Govee App has a bunch of templates or default options too which are fun to pick up and use right away Automation fan? The Goveee app has some solid automation options however here I think the Govee team can make it a bit simpler for users to get exactly what they want. Nothing crazy not 100% easy. As long as Ive had this and the hundreds of hours they've been on, theres so far been no bulb issues with the LEDs so I'd say everything is pretty durable. Ive only tried to use indoors so will make sure thats stated too Will mention theres two routes to hanging and I chose the adhesive route and its worked out flawlessly without any adhesive issues so there's that too. My cat has even gone through them (like a toy almost) and they've had again no issues If you want a review on outside setting- like this review and I'll give it a try (I have 2 sets!)

Bought this product twice and both times the product failed. First time, product just stopped working after a little over a year. Of course, Govee refused to replace the product as it was outside of any warrantee. For something that costs 150$ I'd expect it to last longer than 1 year. The 2nd time I bought it, it was faulty right out of the box. Of course, I didn't try using for 2 months so it was outside of Amazon's return policy. Govee required a back and forth customer service exchange that lasted several days over email where they wanted a full video of them not working....they were going to ship me out a replace unit but they entered the delivery address wrong and it got sent to the wrong zip code. So I had to get back in touch with them and they told me to fight USPS over it and have the address corrected for my purchase, but I didn't purchase that delivery, it was setup by them as a replacement and USPS had the package set as returned to sender. So now I had to fight them more until finally they initiated a refund on the product. Won't be buying this product a third time. Govee normally has pretty good quality lights, but for whatever reason the engineering on these seems flaky and faulty and easily breaks.

I love Govee lights. I already have permanent outdoor lights installed for last 4 years. I was looking to add curtain lights outside my house this Christmas. Got a good deal in this for $90 a box. They are regularly priced at $150 per box. I was able to install both within 3 hours without any help. Easy to connect and program. Very bright and looks beautiful. Worth every penny. Will recommend to anyone looking to buy outdoor curtain lights. FYI, one string of permanent outdoor lights from Govee, that I installed 4 years ago are dead now. Will need to replace ASAP because of holidays coming.

The Govee Curtain Lights 2 have become one of my absolute favorite decorations — I love these lights! I originally bought them just for Christmas, but they’ve quickly turned into my go-to for everything: birthday parties, Halloween decorations, and even a Christmas camping trip. They’re that versatile! The lights are super bright and look amazing whether they’re indoors or outside. Because I already own other Govee products, they sync perfectly and the effects look so cool together. The animations and colors make every setup feel magical. Friends and neighbors have actually called my house the best decorated on the block — and honestly, I believe it’s because of these lights. Ces rideaux à DEL sont tout simplement superbes ! Les couleurs sont vives, les effets lumineux variés et personnalisables depuis l’application sont impressionnants. L’installation est facile et la connexion à l’application Govee se fait sans problème. Ils transforment complètement l’ambiance d’une pièce, que ce soit pour une déco cosy ou festive. Have trouble with app. Had to uninstall app and reinstall to make my scenes to work also forget "my device" and install it again. Even now with a timer set, it turns on but wont keep my continuous scenes I selected and I have to manually turn it on. I worry about this again next year because I'm tired of trying to fix it. Customer service is fine thru email. Just takes 4 days to figure something out waiting on emails. Ended up figuring it out myself.
