Should have bought one of these long ago. Great to get the grill fired up quickly, saving a lot of time especially with charcoal. Can adjust the torch to a calm flame or turn it up for turbo high heat output. It is a very quality build and easy to store and assemble on a propane tank. connection doesn't leak. I also started taking this camping and is great for starting a fire even in wet windy conditions.

This thing is the bomb. Great for starting charcoal fires and even better for searing meat. Be aware it is very powerful, you feel like a super hero (or villain) when you use it. It feels durable and substantial, lighting can be a bit tricky, just angle the nozzle down and turn on the gas a decent amount and it roars to life. All my buddies now want one.

Love this!!!It's an amazing fire starter and flame thrower!!Had used it at home with my fire pit and grill but this last month went winter camping with friends and this was the bomb!! (no it didn't explode)Made starting a fire in light rain and snow a breeze, plus it was fun!! (yes, grown ups can have fun with camp fires too..)The size is perfect for storing it in the toolbox (minus the propane canister, of course) and it's lightweight, so your wrist doesn't get tired.No leakage, well built. Decent quality.Definitely recommend!!

This torch is outstanding when it lights. You can light lump charcoal and be cooking very quickly. I have tried different fire starters and this beats them all, hands down. However, there are times when the igniter does not ignite the propane and then you are left with using a lighter to light the torch...so counter-productive and extremely frustrating. I would give it 5 stars if the igniter worked properly all of the time. I have learned that holding the torch in an upward angle when igniting provides the most effective result but this still should not be something you have to deal with.

Very hot and powerful when using MAPP gas

First use was easy and torch worked great. Control of flame intensity was awesome. Good value.

The media could not be loaded. So far so good! I used this for the first time tonight on some NY Strip steaks that I had in the sous vide for 3 hours. It was easy to light and worked as advertised. It took about 3.5 minutes to sear all four steaks. This is so much faster and better than trying to use the grill and even though a cast iron skillet works great, this won’t smoke out the entire house! Plus there is nothing to clean when you are done cooking with it.

If you want to start campfires or fireplace fires without having to use kindling, this works great. I bought two, one for in the house and one for outside. They don't self ignite perfectly (one is better than the other), but they are WAY better at self igniting than a bernz-o-matic torch, and will almost always start without help (after a few tries) unless it's very cold outside. Once lit, they make an enormous amount of heat and I can typically get a fire burning on its own in less than 90 seconds, a little faster if the wood is super dry. I haven't tried it on green wood, never had the need. Would have given 5 stars if the self ignition was 100% reliable.
