Does it stick to the paint? Does it yellow over time?** A: Kate, I've used on outdoor things such as gnomes, large metal butterflies over the last 8-9 months without any yellowing. It does stick to the paint. Hope this helps. **Q: Can this be used on metal to protect it from sun and rain?** A: yes, you can use this for metal but I found a better product for outdoor protection. It is Modern Masters Master Clear Supreme. You will have to redo the Varathane every year as the sun will wear it down. **Q: I did a white solid stain on an oak dining room set---------would this be good for that?** A: Probably but I dont think I would use a spray on dining table **Q: can i spray this on** A: The can directions don't mention spraying this product but rather suggest brushing it on.
