Works well as described

This timer's description said it has a loud ringer which is why I bought it but it really isn't that loud & is a short ring, easily missed. The reason I chose this was for a 'loud ringer' so I am very disappointed but can't return it as it functions well but just not what I need. I need a ringer which is much louder & for longer.

Does what it says on the tin! A simple mechanism, takes up very little counter space and has a good loud ring tone when time is up. However, there's a strange magnetic attachment at the back which sticks to metal, but doesn't stay on the timer!

I bought this a little over a year ago. It has had daily use, but not over-use by any means, After several months it would not work on short (4 minute) timings, even by winding it up to full, then turning back to the desired timing. I gave it a couple of one hour timings and it seemed to sort it out. However, the same has happened and my previous fix has not worked. It was cheap, but flimsily made and not worth buying My advice is to go for a better option

Serves the purpose

Tala was always a name for quality kitchen appliances (small items). This timer was such an item. The one I had many years back was much sturdier than this new one. This timer is thin plastic. All a bit squeaky and flimsy. Timer seems to work with the odd halt for no apparent reason. Can spoil something special so take care and the bell can hardly be heard unless you carry the timer around with you in your pocket. Maybe not the best so I am now looking for a sturdier timer which allows me to move away from the oven while cooking.

My elderly mum was starting to forget pans on the hob so I thought I would try this. It’s so simple to use, just twist the knob to the number of minutes you need and it slowly ticks by. No need for batteries or confusing computer programming. She keeps it by her side in the living room and when the time is up it gives a nice clear ringing sound. It has been a godsend for her.

I actually dropped the product on my hardwood floor and thought it would not work, but it is just fine and works very well. Compared to the one piece of junk I bought I am very happy to have found this product. I never sent the junk one back, it would have been a complete waste of my time. Just to think I waited for the price to go down on some junk product, and it was only suited for garbage. Thank's UK for making this product available.
