Lovely quality game, solid parts and good pictures. It keep us occupied during winter night. The box is small enough to take for travelling.

Very good quality game in all respects. Thick durable cards, beautiful artwork, sturdy box for storage. This is our favorite game. I'm coming back to write a review after buying almost 18 months ago. We have used it almost every week, often daily. The children don't get tired of it. The cards are thick and sturdy. After all this time we only have a few damaged corners because of rough handling. (I can tell you, it's an Eastern Bluebird and a Barn Owl 🤭) It really is about backyard birds. There is a good blend of birds everybody in North America can see daily, and some birds that will be familiar to some areas and mysterious to others. This definitely adds fun to the game. We love seeing what we know, and we love seeing something unusual. Outside after playing this, the children get excited spotting birds from the game! The paintings of the birds are so beautiful. After playing we often enjoy looking at the birds, talking about them, and trading matches to each get our favorite birds. The names of the birds are on the cards and the children learn the names. The backs of the cards have a wood grain design. It serves a purpose I didn't expect at first. It hides irregularities from little scratches and dents over time. We even have one match that a child put in his mouth and bit into, which is very hard to pick out by the dents. Believe me, I look for it! I encourage this for even a very little child. You can start with just four or five pairs of birds. Bigger kids will not need any help. Everybody loves this game. We keep it at hand. I even take it on trips. When friends and cousins visit, it's the first thing they start doing. Memory games are wonderful for brains of all ages and this one is especially nice.

The illustrations are beautiful, the card stock is good quality, and I learned some bird names that I didn’t know. But the thing I appreciate most is that although this product is aimed at kids, it doesn’t have that garish kids’ toy aesthetic. Would make a classy gift.
