It cuts out of the box logs and trunks. Sharpness is adequate. The sheath is a cheap polyester one obviously considering the total price but one can always make his own custom sheath with high quality leather. Overall value for money if you do not want to splurge in high end cutlery brands or really expensive knifes for say a local trip necessarily but also quality for the customer. I think this brand is doing a good job in that regard, which is keeping customers happy. This is a good design and its way better than the stuff you can bu from outdoorsy brands like Coleman for instance. Not to be judgmental but I own several high end premium products and brands but once in a while I do appreciate the affordable quality range of products and this is one of them. Review: Using after 20 days - Received the knife in good condition. The blade is okay, but it may not be made of high-carbon steel, as it needs sharpening once a week and requires daily burr removal before cutting. The knife is lightweight. The handle is made of cheap plastic and may not be durable. I wiped it clean after every use and stored it in the plastic cover provided and it did not rust. After sharpening, it cuts tomatoes effortlessly. The plastic cover is also not durable.
