I was really excited to try this new dongle as it was the best option for my car; for its size and since it was newest model less issues. The installation was straight forward and with its simple setup, everything was working great for the 2 days. I was really happy with the response rate and how easily it intergrated to my Rav4 Carplay perfectly. Two days later the dongle would not connect to my carplay, I tried unplugging it and re-sync but it would just connect and disconnect from the Wifi. I removed the BT and Wifi profile and tried to set it up again but still got the no Wifi. I was very disappointed that I had to return it, as the Carlinkit brand usually get very high Amazon praise. ****Update: The seller was genuinely disappointed on the dongle failure that they offered a replacement. The new unit arrived in a coupled day and it paired effortlessly to my 2020 RAV4 and I was able to update to the current software easily. Ive been using the dongle without any issues for almost a week and really enjoying the CarPlay feature wirelessly. It take a few second to pair up with my Iphone13 but after that I have phone free access. I can now enjoy my Spotify service and do any changes with the maps without having to take my eyes off the road. A truely excellent customer service. Update Nov 28 Did another software update and the response time is even quicker. After the head unit all loads up the dongle instantly connects. I am really enjoying this Carlinkit dongle amd would highly recommend it for its easy of use. We are entering the colder weather and hoping that it will work in -20 degree weather. Will update again when that time arrives.

This device fulfills its purpose effectively and operates flawlessly. The device is the size of an old fashioned USB stick and will stick out about 3” or so, so make sure it won’t be in the way in your car. To our surprise this device establishes a more reliable connection between our smartphones compared to the USB cable. We own a 2022 Toyota RAV4, and for some reason, the car frequently failed to recognize our phones when connected via the USB cable (we tried multiple cables). However, with this device, the phones and car find each other & connect every time. We have four phones paired with it, and if multiple phones are present in the car simultaneously, the most recently connected phone reconnects. If we decide not to use a particular phone, there is a minor adjustment required to ensure the device reconnects to the intended phone, but it has not posed a significant issue for us.

As described. So far so good. Good connection and nil drop outs so far.
