Great mini Pancake maker. My wife loved it.

I debated going electric versus going with authentic cast iron for my first poffertje pan. I have enough cast iron to oil so splurged and bought this and it was SO FUN! I like that it does a lot of poffertjes at once, needed for a big family. The center is hotter than the next ring, and that is hotter than the outside ring, but that actually works very well, you get in a groove with your timer and just work your way out, slowly flipping them. I made genuine poffertjes (they have buckwheat in them) and they were so perfect!! Super crazy easy to clean. Very flat, fit on my lazy susan shelf no problem. It does come with little metal turners which I almost threw away because I thought they weren't in the box but they were hiding out. Kind of funny since you aren't supposed to use metal on non-stick, but I am sure I will use them for something else. I just used 2 bamboo skewers, they flip like magic. Oh, and when using, put a little butter in one hole and as it melts use a little silicone basting brush to transfer the butter to the other holes, it goes super fast and is much easier than using non-stick spray, which you shouldn't use on this surface anyway. Re-butter with every pour.

This is a constructive review of this product.. it has potential but it fails in many ways. To start.. the heat is not distributed evenly.. its just in one portion on the plate… after 3-4 uses mini pancakes starting to get stuck and there is no way to turn them. My time to request a refund or return pass…I need to order a other one but definitely not this one. Make some changes to make it better and maybe this can be a good product.

I ordered one because of all the great reviews . Arrived broken with the heat plate detached and bottom broken in pieces i returned ended up ordering another one and broken again this time just the bottom was broken but over time I know it will not last . I wouldn't give the seller a bad review I think amazon is mishandling fragil products .

This electric Poffertjes pan is excellent. It comes with helpful tools like the little fork to turn them. It keeps the temperature maintained through the baking process. This pan is less expensive than the cast iron pan and still bakes a perfect pastry.
