Product description Corrs - Unplugged - CD desertcart.co.uk Recorded at Ardmore Studios outside Dublin in early October, the Corrs sound comfortably at home on this orchestrally-enhanced live acoustic gig. With only two studio albums to their credit, it may seem a bit early to go for an Unplugged re-run but the inclusion of two new Corrs-penned songs and a trio of previously unheard covers as well as the live greatest hits means there's something fresh to enjoy. An unplugged session also establishes clearly that The Corrs, in danger of being perceived as pop puppets, are a real band who play and sing beautifully and can deliver the goods live. Encouragingly, the two new songs, "Radio" and "At Your Side", are well up to the usual Corrs standard, while much of the already familiar material benefits from tasty orchestral arrangements--"What Can I Do" in particular works better than the dance re-mix hit version. --Johnny Black Review: A real treat! - Some people thought that The Corrs hadn't been around long enough to do an MTV "Unplugged" album, well this proves that they were ready for it! The photogenic four and their faithful sidekicks (Anto Drennan on "lead" guitar and Keith Duffy on bass) play some of their best songs from their first two albums together with two new covers (Thin Lizzy's "Old Town" and R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts") and two "new" songs of their own that were unheard at the time of this recording which later were included on "In Blue". The vocals in particular really stand out in this live recording but the orchestral accompaniment to some of the songs also adds to the enjoyment. It is very sympathetic to the songs and is never over-done. You can see how relaxed they all were and this must have helped lift their performance level. The high point for me is the beautiful duet "No Frontiers" sung by Sharon and Caroline with only Jim on piano providing accompaniment. It is so simply done and that helps the harmony and quality of their voices really shine through. This album marked the first time that The Corrs worked with Mitchell Froom as their Producer, and when you hear the quality of the arrangements and performance you will understand why they wanted to work with him again and again after this (on "In Blue", "Live in Dublin" and "Home"). I feel that it is a shame though that the producers of the CD felt the need to edit out the "bum note" that Caroline played at the very end of "Runaway" and the banter between the band and the audience that followed, the DVD leaves this in. They also changed the order of the songs for some reason. However, this does not spoil what is a truly excellent CD, a worthwhile addition to your collection even if you already have all of The Corrs' studio albums. Review: ... One of the best Unplugged concerts ... - .... worth of buying and listening ...

I'm a foreigner living in asia. This cd is hard to get here. So I found one in the UK. This vendor provided a nice service at a good price. I'm satisfied with this cd and this vendor. Thanks a million.

You don't have to be a particular corrs fan to appreciate this.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I do having bought it with just one key track in mind but it is terrific from start to finish and the production values are nearly to the standard of a studio album.

Lovely acoustic album
beautifully performed album. Lovely acoustics. It is very enjoyable hearing the acoustic versions of the songs supported by an orchestra. I now prefer the acoustic versions to the original versions. This is an essential album for your collection.

The Corrs, at their best.
Already established by this point of their career. The Irish family Corrs, together with accompanying orchestra, deliver an exclusive performance to their fans. Understated and Unplugged. This album is a must to any fans collection. Along with available DVD of this performance.

Corrs applause
First saw this Gig on telly. Im a bit dubious about buying recordings of live shows unless its a decent recording with enough clear detail and good solos. Im Impressed with this live recording to say the least. If you love the Corrs ,then youll love this.

一曲目のOnly When I Sleepのイントロからやられました。

This was a very special concert, and I am so glad to have the CD. But the DVD was released on region 2, which is not playable in North America! It seems like The Corrs missed out on a lot of customers, by not releasing it on region 1 as well !!.....It would be wonderful to watch these beautiful ladies perform these great songs; as well as listen to them!! We are missing half the fun; what a shame!!
