Sounds way better than the Wiim ultra
I was convinced that I would keep the Wiim ultra as it has so many features and the online reviews are all raving about it. Completely stunned how good the Nano sounds in comparison and I was not expecting that at all. It is a small rugged little box that has some heft to it. Worked as expected straight out the box, also it indexed my large ripped music collection on my nas, something that the Wiim struggled with. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I also paid for mine, no review sample, etc... the software has less features than the wiim however in my opinion it's slicker and looks far better.

This tiny little box belies it's audio prowess . . .
I spent most of yesterday afternoon and all evening revisiting old favourites from my playlists. I thought my previous streaming setup was good; it was. This little Node Nano however has opened up a whole other world of clarity and space. I sent a couple of friends a text describing the sound: "It sounds like a huge hole has been knocked through the wall in front of me and that jazz musicians are playing to me through it". My soundstage is wider and there's a palpable depth and height to it. I sense I'm listening to a huge sphere of live sound in front of me. Beautiful. Highly recommended. [Arcam SA20, Dali Oberon 5s]

Size doesn't matter when it comes to sound.
I also have the wiim ultra. This nano is cheaper at the moment than the wiim, and on first listen, I'd say the nano has a clearer more defined sound and a tighter bass. It's a basic streamer so no hdmi arc like the wiim. It seems like they have spent the money wisely by stripping it down to coaxial, line out and optical. Also no touch screen. I connect it to a marantz pm7000n through chord coaxial cable, so using the nano dac. It does have more detail than the wiim. I'm still keeping my wiim for another room though.

Disappointed with breaks in the music.
Not good for serious / classical music as does not support gapless playing. So where there is supposed to be a seamless blend between tracks or movements the music stops. Good sound quality though, but disappointed, so I sent it back.

Overall, a disappointment (so far)
This is a very neat little product. It is easy to set up, including connecting it to a wireless network and integrating it into a music system. It is also easy to connect it to an external music source (Spotify, etc.). However, the specific purpose for which I wanted the Node Nano was to stream music sourced from my own music library of 1200 albums stored on a QNAP NAS. After a day of trying, I have still failed to get the Node Nano to carry out initial indexation of the library. The process starts, seems to be proceeding well, but then fails and starts over again. I have tried using both a wireless and a wired connection. Had I known I would have this issue, I would have purchased a different product. Update... I finally managed to index my library, although much of the artwork was deemed to large. The help team (which was quick to respond) suggested that a few files were at fault, but since they play without problem over other systems, I think it is a Bluesound issue. Generally, I think the app is terrible - considerable development work is required to make it more user-friendly and customisable. In terms of streaming and sound quality, I can report back very favourably.

Impressive little streamer
This Bluesound Node Nano is a nicely compact device which works as expected. The BluOs app installed and worked fine with the device, an immediate firmware update was performed. Using it with wired ethernet and connected via coax to an external DAC. Have also connected an external USB SSD drive to it with a FLAC library exFAT formatted, no problem to add it and get it into the library of the device. For streaming I have tried some Spotify and Tidal Connect, it worked without fault. Switching between it and other streamers as endpoints from Tidal Connect did not cause it to fall over or behave erratically. Also connected to an external share on my network without issue. Sounds quite close to my other main streamer an Eversolo DMP-A6 also used as a digital transport only over USB. So I can recommend this compact and nicely designed device.

Unhappy with the BluOS controller app
Useless and poor BluOS app. Bad Qobuz integration (slow, when it works, and poor UI side). Via wifi, it connects only to the slower 2.4 Ghz, and not to the 5 Ghz one, you can customise your homepage and disabling certain services, even if you don't use them. 360 degrees disappointment. Returned, and no Bluesound streamers in the future.

Solidly built streamer with good software. Don’t let the size deceive you, this Nano ticks all the boxes for audio quality, ease of use, and overall functionality even on WiFi. Canadian owned as well.

Merci Amazon : livraison nickel! Question de goût.

Ir's nice when a product does exactly what it is supposed to do and is also easy to setup and run. Bluesound Node Nano is such a product. Start with classic packaging as if Apple Computer packed this product. Excellent startup booklet. Works flawlessly with my Qubuz Connect account. Sound quality is clear and clean which was not my experience with my USB connection. Streaming quality is first class. I use an external DAC so I have not tried out the internal DAC. Well worth the price.
