Lots of little screws and the top is heavy but all the holes were exactly where they should be and the instructions were easy to follow. The desk is very sturdy, does not scratch easily and it's easy to keep clean. The glass like surface wipes clean of dust with a microfiber rag without catching on anything. Even after a year of use, it stayed shiny without any special products. I only ever used lysol or water to wipe it down. This desk was in my studio apartment so I liked that it was extra wide as it doubled for a table and I could have a guest sitting next to me. The little shelf underneath was perfect for storing extra notebooks, sticky notes, camera stands, and vases. A wide variety of objects can fit on that shelf. It doesn't make any kind of noise when you shake it or lean on it. I live in Florida so, its very humid but I never saw any signs of rust.
