Unusual can opener works great. Cuts through side of can leaving a cut free surface, and you can reuse the cut top as a lid. Took a minute to coordinate how to mount it to a can (Hold it in place and push the round thing into the can while turning knob works best for me) but it grips the can well without dropping it. Even shook the can while attached and it hung on. Good quality tool feels like a quality tool in my hands.

The can opener fulfills it's function. It's easy to use. It opens cans without the jagged edges.

Great little tool! Easy to use, few moving parts & takes the lid off cans so you can put it back on if there's a bit left in the can.

Very simple to use. Does not leave sharp, jagged edges on the can. Once it has been tightened it maintains a 'Gorilla Grip' on the can. It takes very little effort to operate. This is the 2nd one I've owned and, YES, I definitely recommend this product. I've tried several other styles of can openers (electric and manually operated) and all of them had the same design flaw in common......... (besides the P-38 & P-51)......... they're all junk, not reliable and a waste of $$. For what they're worth, My suggestions to someone looking to buy a can opener are..... 1) Without hesitation, order at least one of these Beneno Side Cutting Safe Openers and prepare to be impressed. 2) Throw all that other junk away because...... Like I said and you already know, It's junk. 3) Get a P-38 & P-51 (both are fairly inexpensive) and keep them in your utensils drawer to use as backup openers if needed. Great device for older hands…easy to turn the crank design side cuts the can in such a fashion the cut lid can be re-used to keep the contents fresh. Honestly don’t know why we didn’t buy this ages ago!

Doesn’t last past a few months. Hard to get can opener on the can, acts like it’s sprung. Handle wobbles so it can’t grip the can tightly to open it; also takes strips off of the can. Our old Oxo still does a better job

Nice design, easy to use. Took a star because the little magnet on the side does nothing...I thought it lifted the lid off once removed.
