AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
For me personally it's a great processor should you buy the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X? Probably yes but 14 months on from the release date, it's just not a best proposition becous very expensive compared to Intel. If you can buy it cheaper than €400, it's worth spending money. The performance is greate but It is a more of a mixed use gaming and work CPU Highly reccomend picking it up if you can get it on sale. If you're a hardcore gamer, get the 9800x3D if you can. Below are some pros: Good gaming performance (For games, X3D will be a better choice) Very efficient under heavy loads Great Single-core performance Integrated GPU Easy to cool

Amazing, it's a little bit expensive but worth it
Amazing, its a little bit expense but worth it. The temp are good with the AIO i have and the compatibility with AM5 is really good. Power Consumption is okay same as my last CPU really. Great for Multitasking, i have several programs open at ones and its not even at 60%. Not had a single crash yet, touch wood

great server processor
Has integrated graphics, perfect for a server setup. It runs cool under a Peerless Assassin cooler, and the processor is very fast and responsive.

AMD Ryzen 9 Excellent Performance CPU with intigrated GPU for those on a tight budget
This is a great CPU for all round performance offering performance CPU with 12 cores and 24 threads including an integrated GPU so you will not need a graphics card for every day computing, however if you want to do video editing , graphics work or gaming then you will need a dedicated graphic card. I choose to couple the CPU with an AMD graphics card , however there are many other manufacturers to choose from. I got this for a good price , not the cheapest , however buying though Amazon give you a bit more security. I certainly recommend this CPU, however for the pure gamers or high spec performance look at the 3D variants to, e.g AMD 7800 3D for example.

A decent powerhouse processor
Fast processor with a large cache. Comparable of better than the fast Intel Xeon processors and at a decent price. Currently I have migrated nearly all of the machines that I administer away from Intel, having been on Intel for the last few generations. As with any DDR5 platforms, remember that you only want 2 DIMMs for maximum speed and that maximum rated speed may not give the highest bandwidth and lowest latency.

Fantastic CPU
This is the best processor I've ever owned. With proper overclocking, it outperforms even the 9950x3d, 9800x3d, 7800x3d, 14700k, and 265k in synthetic benchmarks. It's very easy to maintain a good temperature. Pairing it with an RTx 5070 gave me fantastic gaming results. Highly recommended.

simply incredible
I change to this from intel. cpu uses 100w less energy. support 8000mt ram excellent gaming ability performance is similar little bit more than i7 14700k but useing half the energy. with games I dont get stuttering like I used to with intel so a much better experience

beast of a processor
massive core count and high clocks, needed a bios update to run on my board properly but runs rock solid and overclocked, better value then an x3d variant yeah it won't have the fancy 3d cache for gaming but is better for multitasking and AI.... runs super hot though

It runs Minecraft and muck well
I had an Intel core i7 14700kf but 14th gen intel is very unstable and crashes with everything so I switched to AMD it runs all games and programs well and it’s good for streaming but I do wish it had more cores for a Ryzen 9 when the Intel Core i5-14600K which is basically the lowest end cpu intel has from that gen (no one would buy an i3) has more cores but it’s easy to cool if you have an AIO and it’s powerful.

The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X is a powerful Powerhouse.
Cores and Threads: The 12-core, 24-thread design delivers high parallel processing power, making it ideal for multitasking and creative workflows. Clock Speeds: Base clock starts at 4.4 GHz and boosts up to 5.6 GHz, ensuring quick responsiveness in demanding applications. Memory Support: Compatible with DDR5 memory, supporting speeds up to 5600 MT/s, which is great for high-performance computing needs. Power Efficiency: Its default 120W TDP ensures efficient energy usage under normal loads, though it can spike to ~170W under stress. Performance: The Ryzen 9 9900X shines in tasks like rendering, video editing, and file compression, often surpassing the Intel Core i7-14700K in tests like Blender and Handbrake. It’s also capable of handling moderate gaming, though it doesn't significantly outperform older Ryzen models like the Ryzen 9 7900X in gaming scenarios. Thermals: While relatively efficient for its class, the 9900X can run warm under load. A robust cooling solution, such as a liquid cooler, is recommended to maintain optimal performance and longevity. Pros and Cons: Pros: Fast processing for professional workloads. Support for PCIe 5.0 and DDR5. Decent power efficiency for a 12-core CPU. Cons: High thermal output under heavy loads. Limited Eco-mode options, which may impact efficiency in power-limited scenarios. Relatively high price compared to alternatives like the Ryzen 9 7900X. Verdict: The Ryzen 9 9900X is a solid choice for productivity-focused users who need a balance of speed and efficiency. However, for gaming or budget-conscious builds, there might be better options in AMD's or Intel's lineup.
