Tree Wrap, 3 In x 50 Ft

We planted five 2" maples in the spring. During the winter, we didn't wrap any of them. We had to replace 3 of them (the other two survived... but just barely) the following spring due to sunburn and freeze/thaw because of the sun reflecting off of the winter snow. We used the wrap the following year and had zero problems, even under similar winter conditions. The wrap is inexpensive, VERY easy to wrap, and seems to hold up fine to rough winters (and even deer rubs). Much cheaper than replacing the trees. We will use these for at least the first 3 years after planting from now on.

I wrap my citrus trees every year. This wrap last a couple of years before the intense Arizona sun disintegrates it. Protects the trunks from the sun and rabbits. Easy to use and holds up well.

This wrap is easy to apply by wrapping it around the base of the tree several times and then wrapping it up to the first branch and then pulling the end through one or two of the layers of wrap. It seems strong and secure. The wrap protects the tree from sunburn, rodents, and even deer. I didn't know I need it, but it's good protection for a young tree.

I bought this for use with tanglefoot for my fruit trees. It is a good width at 3 inches but it requires a fair amount of pressure when wrapping to contour to the base, which is needed to ensure ants and other pests can't get past/underneath the barrier. Also, it has no mechanism for self-adherence and required tape to keep the end in place before applying the tanglefoot. Once applied (as noted with pressure and adhesive end), it did the job of holding the tanglefoot in place, which has captured ants, flying insects, and other crawly things, allowing my fruit trees to thrive without infestation!
