I got fake there is nowhere indicating 2000mW and it is not detecting even 100 m signal very bad

I have tested it out with Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 13.04, and Backtrack 5 R3. This wireless adapter is plug-and-play compatible with all three of these OS's. I have also tested it on two Windows 8 laptops. On one it was recognized and was plug-and-play. On the other, I had to use the software from Alfa's website. The device also works with OS X 10.7.3 after using the driver on the Alfa website. The only downside is that the device management window for the wireless adapter pops up every time the computer turns on with the adapter plugged in. I had purchased this device to use it during my security audits for my job. I was trying to decide between this and the 36H version and I am very glad that I went with this one. I was really happy with both the range and quality of the signal (although the range was not as far as others had claimed it was) and the compatibility with all the above OS's (especially backtrack). For those who are wondering, both packet injection and monitor mode work for this device. It is very easy to disassemble and store away in a bag, making commuting with it very easy. The included clip, extra antenna, and USB cable all work great. No complaints whatsoever. I would definitely buy this product again.

The device is clean, genuine, reliable and it finds many, many AP's from very far away. Under Windows XP, driver installation is very easy. They provide a CD. It is automatic under Windows 7. In windows, you can choose to use the 'Ralink wireless lan utility' instead of Windows built in 'Wireless Zero' service. Trust me, use the utility. It will allow you to use this adapter to its fullest potential (well... as far as Windows is concerned). The software is intuitive and has lots of nice graphs and readings concerning AP's, your U/D speed, signal strength, etc. Now, for BT users (if you don't know what the acronym stands for don't worry about it. You will be the one most likely to learn one day by indirect means...), I didn't try the stock driver in 4 but instead decided to recompile a patched version of the driver (check air****.ng for details) right away so I don't know if it will work right out of the box BUT IT WORKS. In fact, I've been sharing the same persons resources around here since then, now even, while writing this review. Anyhow, the only reason why I gave this device four stars for 'Power Consumption' is because its a hog (which is not neccessarily a bad thing assuming I don't get cancer or something). To be more specific, I purchased the model that comes with the 7db antenna also. But when I try to use the antenna, my computer tells me the device is exceededing its USB power limits every time. So I just use the stock antenna instead. The solution to this problem is actually very simple. Just go and get a powered USB hub. Should be that simple. Other than this slight inconvience, this is one of the best, most useful, versitile, quality (and at a great cost) electronic devices I have ever owned.
