These stanchions are great quality and feel solid once assembled. The cloth straps are not easily tangled, do not cut easily, and hold up well in normal use. A child played with them for a while without snagging or tangling the straps, which says a lot about their durability to me as I always played with them as a kid. The straps are thin but function well and retract very rapidly and smoothly. The base is heavy enough to prevent tipping easily during use. Assembly is simple, using one screw and a washer through the weighted base, cover, and post. The biggest downside is that the paint on the base metal is thin, but it appears to be aluminum, so rust should not be an issue when left outdoors. The strap holder is plastic, but it appears professional durable and well made. They don't give a cheap appearance and is a great value for the durability they offer.

These posts feel heavier and sturdier than expected. Once placed, they don’t slide or tip easily, even with foot traffic nearby. The retractable belts extend smoothly and retract without snapping back aggressively. Connecting them together is quick and doesn’t feel fiddly. They look clean and professional, which matters when they’re visible to guests or customers. Nothing about them feels flimsy.

Used once, no longer retracts the belt. Garbage.
