I’ve been very impressed with this doorbell camera. The 2K video quality is sharp and clear, and the wide viewing angle lets me see my entire driveway, front yard, and part of the street. Motion detection is accurate, and notifications arrive quickly on my phone. The daytime image quality is excellent, but the nighttime performance is what surprised me the most. The picture remains clear, bright, and detailed, making it easy to identify vehicles and monitor the front of my home at night. The installation was straightforward, the app is easy to use, and the battery life has been excellent so far. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll want to purchase a microSD card separately if you plan to store recordings locally, since it does not come included. For the price, it offers features and performance that compete with much more expensive brands. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a reliable and affordable video doorbell. Would definitely buy it again….

I almost never write reviews but after about 7 months of owning this product, I am so impressed I feel obligated. I got this camera for under 50 dollars. Installed in a cold climate in December and the battery lasted about 5.5 months without needing a recharge despite frequently making recordings as we get frequent packages and activate the camera ourselves coming in and out of the house. While I am sure there are more expensive cameras with better video quality I find it to be perfectly adequate for the price and my needs. It is appropriately sensitive to motion (once I adjusted areas like the street I did not want it to react to as it would initially pick up things like cars driving by). You can use local storage if you'd like and pay nothing after the initial purchase, but I opted to get cloud storage to prevent tampering being an issue. The cloud storage is markedly cheaper than other popular devices like ring. Overall, I think this camera is about as good as any ot the bigger brands for probably half the cost and a MUCH cheaper long term cost if you go with the subscription for cloud storage. I think the video quality is excellent given the price. Yes if you want higher quality you'd need to spend more but I think this is totally adequate for 99% of the population for a doorbell camera (you will get clear views of people's faces). My one criticism is that the cloud storage is only for 30 days which is less than other companies, but again, probably adequate for 99% of the population.

EXTREMELY impressed with this doorbell camera!!!! The picture quality is great, was very easy to set up/install, and the app is very easy to navigate. I attached a picture of the camera quality just to show how great it is, especially for the price!! There is also no required subscription to see the live motion. The subscription to have the video memory is also a very reasonable price in comparison to other doorbell options! Very nice camera for an amazing price!

Great, great, great camera!! The number one reason I got this is because our apartment complex installed new doors without peep holes. I have a 6yo and he knows not to open the door without confirming who it is, but even I don’t know now. My neighbors recently caught some sketchy behavior at my door on their camera while I was gone and I decided that was it! HOWEVER, how many of us are sick of subscribing our lives and incomes away??! I sure am. My partner actually found this one for me. Some of the reviews talk about bad battery life, but mine is still at 87% after recording consistently since I installed it 2 weeks ago. I also bought one of the “secure” mounts (which I highly recommend, because it blocks the ability to remove the camera from the outside). It connects easily to your home wifi and does not need your phone to keep running. I get notifications when I visit my partner’s house about 70 miles away. I bought the microSD card for storage because I don’t want to pay the optional subscription they have to keep video/incidents in their cloud. You can set your notifications how you like in the app. I bought this with the chime (inside doorbell noise), which you can set to be active when you like. There are different doorbell sound options, the LED light for recording can be turned off or on, and many other options I haven’t used yet (speaking to outside guests, manual recording, privacy mode, etc). We do have a light outside our door that comes on automatically, so I can’t speak to the nighttime visibility. Overall, I love this camera!! It seems durable, notifies me quickly of motion, pets or people, and takes decent video. I do have a bit of a blind spot for my packages on the ground, but I can see when they arrive and if they disappear. I love TAPO for giving me peace of mind that doesn’t dwindle my bank account! This smart video doorbell has all the bells and whistles of any top brand out there. It’s affordable and the quality is great. It was very easy to set up, the instructions were easy to follow. It detects different motions, such as people, pets, ect. You can change the settings if you want to eliminate certain detections which I appreciate. The range is just right and the night vision is great. We have been using it for 6 months and I have noticed the battery drains faster when I have all the detections on. (Usually when I am away from home) when I am home I change the settings. It comes with a usb to recharge and it easily clicks back in and out for easy charging. I give it a 4 stars as I wish it would hold its charge a little longer. So far I have had to charge it once every 1-2 months.

set up and installation it was super easy, images are very clear, motion detection, zoom blew up my head because even far away I can see people faces, I have peace of mind because it doesn’t matter where I am, I receive notifications right away of what’s happening in my house and who is in front of my door and I can talk with them, my family feel safe, quality is good and for the price? …no way. I highly recommend.

So far this product has been great. Connecting this product to my wifi network was easy, as was navigating the app and pairing the doorbell. I primarily chose this one over other's because of the price point and because it allows you to have local storage via a microSD card that can be inserted in the device. This allows you to playback scenes from the device without having to depend on a cloud service or a monthly subscription. Motion detection is great and is customizable as well in the app. Night vision is phenomenal and notifications are consistent. The only concern I have is security of the device itself. It seems like it would be fairly easy to remove the microSD from the device which I don't like as it is only held in place via a screw and a small hatch and it is accessible while the camera is mounted to the door/wall.

The D210 is yet another great smart doorbell from Tapo. Like all Tapo products install is very straight forward and the instructions are easy to understand. In the box you’ll get a few mounting options such as the flat mount, which is what I used, a 15° vertical angle wedge and the hardware needed. The 15° vertical wedge adapter, would be used if you needed to have the camera pointing away from a wall, or if you want to get more in view from either the left or right side. I personally wish it would have also came with the horizontal wedge, which would be good if it was being mounted on angled vinyl siding. Picture quality is fantastic, I absolutely love the wide angle view over the fish eye view that the D130 has. I have had it installed for over a month and with a fair bit of traffic where it’s installed, it still has 80% Battery. I’m anticipating between 4-5 months of use before it needs to be charged again, keep in mind that in high traffic areas, and constant use, will drain the battery much faster. Local Storage is by far the best part. While TP-Link does have the option for cloud storage, I’d much rather have all recordings stored locally. The included chime is nice and loud and the option to change the ringtone is nice, especially for holidays. This is where I have to take some points away from D210. My first con is with the battery, not so much the battery but the lack of being able to connect this to existing wiring to charge it. The D210 is strictly battery based, and will need to be removed to charge. This may not be a big deal and/or may in fact be the only choice someone may have, but at least having the option to connect it to existing wiring would have been nice, like the D225. The second con is that in direct sunlight/lighting, the video can get washed out. The third con is more with the Doorbell Video Call feature of the Tapo App. I have a love/hate relationship with this feature as it works when it wants to. For example, I have a D130 installed at my father’s house. I also have an Amazon Echo Show, with the Tapo skill. When the Tapo Skill is enabled, the echo pulls the video feed and allows you to talk right away, but my phone keeps ringing, and if I answer it, it gives me an error stating the feed is already in use. It’ll also ring on my other devices, like my iPad which keep ringing nonstop. Thankfully with the latest version of the Tapo App, v3.7.1 as of the writing of this, they now allow you to change the notification type between the Doorbell Video Call to Standard Push Notifications. Overall it’s a great doorbell, with a great camera. I wouldn’t necessarily use this in a high traffic area, but if you don’t have a choice, it’s still worth every penny.

Muy buen timbre con una cámara para ver de extraordinaria calidad y clarisima resolución para dia y noche. Es preferible dejarla en modo timbre para que la bateria dure sino se descarga en modo detección super rápido. También bajar a 1 o máximo 2 el nivel de detección en modo timbre ya que si esta en modo ahorro no permite mas de esos 2 niveles. Funciona de manera excelente y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Tiene varias funciones para programar y configurar siendo una de las virtudes de lo que manejan las cámaras tapo y el timbre tiene diferentes sonidos y niveles de audio ademas del video y la interación con quien toca. Muy buen dispositivo. Muy recomendable es fácil y rápido de configurar. Trae un kit de instalación super completo por si no desea uno perforar solo con los adhesivos que trae.

Perfect , been using it since 18.sep up to day date 7.oct and the charge is 76% , quality is perfect , sound is great and definitely recommend it

I bought the TP-Link Tapo D210 mainly because I wanted a reliable doorbell camera better than I one i had before. I chose a solution that didn’t force me into a monthly subscription, and so far it’s been a great decision. My main goal was to clearly see who’s at the door and keep an eye on packages, and the 2K video quality really delivers. The picture is sharp enough to recognize faces easily, and the wide head-to-toe view means I can see everything from visitors’ faces down to packages left on the ground, which a lot of other doorbells miss. What surprised me the most was how well it works at night. The spotlight turns on when motion is detected and gives full-color night vision instead of the usual black-and-white footage. This makes a big difference when trying to identify people or see details in low light, and it also feels like an added deterrent. I like that the spotlight brightness can be adjusted so it’s not overly harsh. Notifications have been very accurate. The free person detection actually works and cuts down on false alerts from random movement, which was something I worried about before buying. I also really like the Ring Call feature — getting a call-style alert makes it much harder to miss someone at the door, and answering is quick and easy without having to open the app. Battery life has been solid. I didn’t want to deal with frequent charging, and the battery lasts a long time even with regular motion alerts. Installation was straightforward, and the angled wedge helped a lot since my door isn’t perfectly straight. Two-way audio is clear enough to have a proper conversation, and the quick response messages are handy when I’m busy or not home. The fact that it supports local storage with a microSD card was one of the biggest reasons I chose this doorbell. I like knowing my videos are stored locally without paying a subscription, while still having the option for cloud storage if I ever need it. It also works well with Alexa and Google Assistant, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this doorbell does exactly what I wanted it to do — clear video, smart alerts, good battery life, and no forced monthly fees. It feels reliable and well thought out, and for the price, it offers a lot of value. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a practical, no-nonsense smart doorbell that just works.
