can someone tell me the difference between this ans an official arduino board?

The official board comes with a plastic tray that prevents shorts to the bottom of the board. The Elegoo board comes with a USB cable and is available in two colors. There is no functional difference. While the official board may be better quality, I've had no problems with any of the Elegoo boards I've bought.

how much servo motors can this handle? how is the shield compatibility?

You have to tie the card to servo drivers to handle motors. The board outputs can handle only a TTL load per pin (about 20 mA per line). I have used a similar card tied to a Sain Smart CNC Micro-Stepping Stepper Motor Driver to handle large stepper motors using up to 4.2 Amps of current: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DFSF9GE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ran hookup wire from the Arduino board to the interface box(es). Sometimes I used a transistor buffer (per line) so that the 20 mA limit was not overloaded to drive two controllers for the Y-axis with full current capacity on each motor. The transistor I used was a BS270 400mA, 60V N-Channel Enhancement Mode FET. I got the transistor circuit understanding from the book, Exploring Beaglebone.

Is this the exact size as the original mega? i want to make a pcb shield for it on eagle, and will be using sparkfun's mega part footprint

I did exactly this, but with a footprint from Element14. My custom shield fits perfectly.

Are the digital outputs 3.3V or 5V?

This basically just like the Arduino Mega 2560, the digital pins are 5V as are the analog input pins. There is no version of this that is 3.3V. ATMega 2560 is a 5V chip. No need for level shifters or voltage dividers. There is one 3.3V voltage output pin, which is also typical of the Uno R3 and many other 5V Arduino/clones.

Excelente, barato y funcional!

La verdad me asustaba un poco que el producto no llegase a funcionar con la plataforma de arduino o que estuviera hecho con mteriales de mala calidad, sin embargo me sorprendieron con la calidad del producto, llego antes del tiempo establecido y funciona de maravilla dentro de la plataforma.

My go-to board for test development

These boards are really great for quick development projects. They're easy to interface to (lots of I/O and analog ports) and quite easy to program. There are also a large assortment of add-on devices available for all sorts of needs e.g. microSD interfaces, real-time clocks, etc. Oh, and relatively cheap too.
