CARPURIDE 10.26" Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto 4+64GB

This portable carplay has definitely been one of the best upgrades in the past few months allowing me not only to have access to navigation and good entertainment but also to be able to switch between cars as I do change the cars for work on a daily basis. The installation process is quite easy, just requiring setting up the screen, connecting with my phone and the Bluetooth function works well for streaming music and making hands-free calls. It has a good quality of the sound and everything syncs smoothly with no issues at all. The car for work is quite big and I would always struggle to find parking spaces, however this carplay has backup camera which allows me to see everything at the back of the car which makes it easier and safer to do parallel and reverse parking and the quality of the video is very good providing a clear View of what is behind me. The screen is very responsive and it also allows me to mirror my phone which gives me access to my favorite music and playlists. The design is minimal and it fits well in all the cars that I'm using having just the right size with a large screen however it does not clutter the dashboard. This carplay definitely made my driving experience better making it easy to use and I'm very happy with how it performs so far.

If your car did not come with Android Auto or Apple Car play from the factory then the CARPURIDE W102plus is the device for you. The best way to describe it is like a 10.26” Android tablet that can mount to your windscreen or dash like Satnavs do although this is more powerful and with a lot more functionality. The unit is well made, the screen is bright and responsive to touch. The mounting suction cup is strong and secure. There is a vent mount adapter but that was not suited for my dash. I set mine up in my Ford that has a built in Sync 2 system and connected it to my Android phone. The hardest part of the setup was finding the best place to mount it. Connecting to it was simple once your phone is connected you can then go into settings and change the audio output so that it comes out though your car speakers. My steering wheel controls still work when listening to music. The device takes about 60 seconds to boot and connect from a cold start. It has always connected to my phone and cars Bluetooth every time without fail. All I need to do now is run a cable from the fuse box and try and hid it as best as possible. For the time being I am powering it from the 12v lighter socket. Annoyingly the socket in my car stays live even with the ignition off on my car. The CARPURIDE W102plus did came with the reversing camera but I did not require it. Does an excellent job of adding Android Auto or Apple Car Play to your car?

Really great item. You can use this for Android or Apple Phones. You install it in to your car and then connect your phone (wirelessly) to the device so you can utilise apps on the large screen. Use Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, BBC Sounds etc. You can also watch YouTube etc, so it's very versatile. It would be best of wired in to the vehicles speaker system so it works just like a car stereo with all of the other perks. You can power via 12v cig lighter or I auusme you could wire in, which would be slick. It also comes with a reversing camera, which I haven't installed yet, but it looks to be better quality than the one I already have on my vehicle. This is definitely a better item than the cheaper options out there.

Avoid at all costs. Whilst the screen itself is nice, the audio for calls is totally unusable on both ends. Echoey, indistinct and overly quiet meaning that the product is essentially not fit for purpose. I have replace with another one which works much better in general and calls can be heard!

Slow to boot up, quite a lot of electrical interference noise when connected to AUX when device is booting up. Android apps not really optimised for device so exiting some of the apps seemed impossible and required a reboot. Once booted screen quality is excellent, but returned device as didn't want the slow boot times and electrical squeal every time it was booted.

At the time of this review, £199.99 delivered on Amazon (exc. £50 voucher to be applied upon checkout). W102 plus. Order arrived on time well packed. Manual provided which for some setting up wasn't very easy to follow / understand. Overall it's a simple operating system but requires some fuzzy logic to understand the instructions. Build quality for me is good, seems robust. Great screen size, clear images, sounds is good but nothing special. Not a fan of the mounting bracket, very underwhelming, works, but the connection to the back of the unit isn't very robust IMO. Is supplied with a couple of mounting options. The unit itself in operation works great once you've figured it out. Has a great selection of applications, and uses. From using maps to playing music, connecting your mobile phone etc. All very useful and a cheap(ish) way to modernise an old vehicles to new technology. Unit does support a variety of connectivity which is also excellent, giving me choices versus not. On summary, at the discounted price for me this is great value. Not sure I'd pay the full asking price.

I have the version noted below; there is a lower priced model that is mostly reviewed here, which seems better spec'd and that seems strange. My model has the wired reversing cam, but no forward cam which I would like. The screen is a good shape and size and nice and clear graphics. Boot up is quite slow, and the version of Android states it is not certified by Google who warn that security and other updates may not be available; something that is disappointing for the price. Thus I knocked an extra star off. The GPS comes with an external antenna that picks up a good number of satellites (and an app to show gps status). Lots of mounting bits and options is great. I wanted to use offline maps as when travelling abroad I don't have unlimited mobile data. I was able to download updates and offline maps for Google, there is enough storage for a good number. WiFi turns off when using many options and doesn't auto connect. I found it gets surprisingly hot at the rear, maybe due to the bright backlight needed for a sunny car. The reversing camera can be selected manually or automatically if wired to a reversing supply. It has a great image and wide,wide angle. There are no distance markings that some built in ones have. The chunky Car Play buttons are better for solo driving. Lots of apps it you have a passenger. Delusione totale, per un prodotto così caro, dopo che lo lasci acceso per qualche ora, si resetta e lo fa continuamente in loop, finché non lo spegni e lo fai raffreddare, peccato speravo in un prodotto di qualità

easy setup with an iPhone for AppleCar Play, bluetooth to unit and FM station connection to an old 2006 Ford Radio, clear super size wide screen, screen swipe sensitivity precise and with no lag! very happy with this product, window mount bracket is super strong. I have not setup the reverse camera but will do later on.

En general es bastante buena, la resolución se ve muy bien incluso cuando le pega el sol. El sonido es bueno, inclusive en mi caso aumento la calidad de sonido y puedes ecualizarlo a tu gusto. (Yo recomiendo conectar la pantalla con el cable auxiliar). La cámara de reversa también funciona muy bien, en cuanto pones reversa la cámara se activa y se aprecia bien lo que hay detrás del carro. La conexión inalámbrica con el celular es rápida y estable. Las apps como Maps funcionan muy bien y la voz de las indicaciones se escucha muy claro y definido. El punto malo es que las llamadas se escuchan muy bajito y tienes que alzar la voz para que te escuchen. Pero por todo lo demás está perfecto, si se las recomiendo.
