Missing lock
Fake. It doesn’t work. The lock hinge works but it’s missing a rod to actually hold it closed. Missing mechanism maybe.

Realistic look when on a bookshelf
I personally have always liked this kind of item and it just came to me that this would be the perfect gift to put a gift card in and gift to my grandson this past Christmas. I was right; he loved it! And, it was SO much fun setting the first combo to MY birthday (I told him he had to remember it before he'd be able to open it and get his gift card. I've always hated just putting money in an envelope, for someone I love anyway, so this item will be a go-to favorite in the future. PLUS, the lock and the metal on this are top quality and it has a realistic overall look.
