ProtectaClear 1 Oz. Clear, Protective Coating for Metal.

I haven't tried this product yet but everyone I no said it's great stuff so I will see.

This product is very expensive n I you usually get what you pay for but this is a complete waste of money I wish I had never bought it it makes chains n bracelets go stiff when dried look absolutely disgusting

J'ai bien suivi les instructions. J'ai passé une première couche du liquide à l'aide d'un petit pinceau sur des boucles d'oreilles dorées et sur une grosse bague toute dorée aussi. Après la 1re couche, déception ! Le doré avait viré en un orange léger, suffisamment pour faire pacotille. J'ai passé la 2e couche, en mettant peu de produit aussi et toujours en laissant sécher toute une nuit. ET LÀ, MIRACLE ! La teinte est un très beau doré particulièrement brillant. Franchement, que ce soit les boucles d'oreilles ou la bague, on dirait de l'or. Évidemment je recommande vivement ce produit qui certes est cher, mais il en faut tellement peu que cela vaut l'investissement.

Buen dia lo he usado para proteger mi joyeria de fantasía asi como chapa de oro y va bastante bien es lo que buscaba. Deja un acabo brillante la verdad que si me sirvió no trae con que aplicarlo pero lo utilize con 1 palito de madera para ver la consistencia y es bastante líquida se resbala bien en la pieza lo he usando en anillos y aretes me gusta estoy apenas viendo como usarlo en cadenas pulseras ya que a veces se pegan los eslabones eso si hay que limpiarle el sobrante que va dejando cuando se seca pero sin problema si lo recomiendo

I bought ProtectaClear to seal some of my jewelry pieces that were starting to tarnish quickly, and I’m really impressed with how well it works. The finished coating is smooth, clear, and doesn’t change the color of the metal. My gold plated and silver pieces look brand new again and stay that way much longer. It does have a strong smell while applying, but once it dries and cures, the jewelry looks great and feels completely smooth. A little goes a long way, so the bottle will last a long time. How to use it: Clean the jewelry first and make sure it’s completely dry. Shake the bottle and apply a thin, even coat using the small applicator sponge or brush. Let it dry without touching it for about an hour, and then allow it to fully cure (I let mine sit overnight). That’s it — once cured, the coating is hard, clear, and helps protect against tarnish, fingerprints, and skin oils. Overall, this is a great product if you make jewelry or want to protect your favorite pieces from tarnishing or turning your skin green. I’m very happy with the results!

Read the reviews and decided to try this product on my handmade jewelry. Excited to use it and see if it helps keep my jewelry beautiful for my customers. It seems a bit complicated if you’re new to working with metals like I am. It does come with detailed instructions but you’ll need to buy either denatured alcohol or xylene to prep your product and chemical resistant eyewear/gloves — if you don’t have those already! It would be nice if the company/sender included a small kit just to get you started. Will update this once I’ve used on my items. ********************************************************** I used this on a small chain link necklace and a metal alloy coin charm. After prepping both with a cotton swab & denatured alcohol I applied ProtectaClear with a sponge brush. I let both pieces dry for 2-3 hours before the second coat. Application was relatively simple and it’s a very fluid, water-like consistency so it dried evenly. It worked well on the coin charm but not so well on the chain link. I wouldn’t recommended brush application for chain link items and other small necklaces/bracelets. I found the necklace to be stiff in some places afterwards and with product dried in the middle of some links. I wouldn’t mind if it was for personal use only but I don’t feel confident putting it on items I wish to sell. I’m sure it works well for others but it didn’t suit my purposes. It wasn’t the ProtectaClear itself, just the application method used. I will be trying an aerosol product to see if it turns out better.
