Amazing little device, took my son literally 2 mins to have it set up and working. Love the way it changes where the picture is if something is in he way ie a radiator it will move picture up slightly. Really good connectivity and app choices. Picture quality is really good as long as guidelines for distance are followed. My only grumble would be the sound which is good quality but even on max can be a little quiet, easily resolved with some small speakers or a headset.

Damn you Amazon! I was NOT in the market for a projector. Didn’t want one, nor need one. Then up it popped (another brand) on Prime Day 2025 and my curiosity was piqued. After doing a lot of research and reading reviews, I decided (with every intention of returning it if was indeed too good to be true) to give it a go for less than £38. Couldn’t believe it! Remote control, so many apps (including the all essential VPN’s and browsers), auto screen dimension adjustments, screen mirroring, great sound quality (Note: I originally bought the regular version and it was so good, I then bought the upgraded version with the speaker on the stand which is even better). Of course you can’t see the picture in bright daylight (that’s why cinema’s are dark!) but with a bit of shade, it’s still very good. So good in fact, I now have 2 of them and I haven’t turned my tv on once since I got them! Set up and adjustments are super easy and I haven’t looked at the user manual since I bought it. They are very small and discreet and of course you can connect them to your external devices. The only downside is my soundbar can’t connect as it’s only got a 3.5mm jack, but I honestly haven’t needed to upgrade it, because the sound on the new model is great. They do get very very warm, so keep them in well ventilated spots and enable auto-off after 5 minutes if you’re worried about it getting too hot. As reviewed elsewhere, the lead is pretty short, so get an extension lead if you need to position it away from a wall socket. An absolute must when traveling, teaching, camping, indoor and outdoor movie nights and of course for sporting events! Stunning. Size wise (because size is important!), I’ve gone up to 8mx5m in one room and 7mx4.5m in another - I might go bigger! I didn’t think I needed this, but I use them both every day and they’ve rendered 2 televisions completely redundant. Still a while to go before the end of the year, but so far, this is number 1 on my list of gadgets I didn’t know I needed but now couldn’t do without. 6 stars! Overall it's not a bad device, better than the device we upgraded to (that went back also). So what's the good and bad, about this projector.... The good: it's small and lightweight, the screen isn't bad for the small size it is. The interface is a cut down android which is ok in itself more apps are neeed though. It was packaged well and the remote was basics but ok. The screen is not too difficult to manipulate to the size needed, sound is best linked to a sound bar, easily done, like android and overall it's ok for general use. The bad: Well it appears like with a lot of these projectors, the usb is only really good for a fire stick. Any thoughts of using any type of usb disk to watch your movie collection it's dashed against a brick wall. No usb is seen unfortunately so no films to take away with you if WiFi or 5g isn't present. This is a major overlook by many of these manufacturers, it's a video entertainment device, it should play your movies off a disk. It's a shame, as if it had the ability to disk read, I wouldn't have returned this device. Overall it's not bad as said, but if you're out and about without internet, many of these devices are a useful as a chocolate kettle, one I found did read disks ok but had other issue unfortunately. Definitely worth considering though if disk reading and sound isn't you're biggest issue. Tech support were really really good, it's nice to see a product actually supported well. 👍 Good luck in your search I'm testing my 4th now as they dont seem to deliver what they should.

I work in IT / AV so I know a fair bit about projectors. I bought this for a friend who has limited space at home for a TV. She was so happy! The image quality for such a small and inexpensive projector is great! I was surprised! It's bright enough at 1000 ansi lumens for home viewing. I'd happily watch a movie on it. The sound is good, for what it is. Although it's not very loud so you'd have to be sitting quite close to it - not always possible with a projector setup. Personally I would connect it to bluetooth speakers for a more 'cinematic' experience. One of the great things about this projector is that it comes with android installed so you can use apps on it. The netflix issues some users were reporting has been resolved. Which makes this a stand alone unit. You don't need to connect a firestick or your laptop or phone. Anything you want to watch you can stream natively from the apps within the unit. I went for this unit over another i found that had a higher, 1500 ansi lumens, output. but it didn't have the built in android operating system this one does. You had to hook that one up to something else - a firstick, your phone, etc. So this is a big advantage to a lot of people and was definitely the best option for my friend who favours convenience 😁. It's worth noting that this projector can also connect to your phone wirelessly and has HDMI and USBC inputs. It's maybe not the best choice for gaming via modern consoles - the latency isn't quite fast enough. But, at the price point, I would be amazed if it was. This unit it nice. It's cheap and if you want it as a stand alone unit at home I'd highly recommend. Hell - I want one now too 😅

I could get rid of my huge tv! We use this indoors and outdoors! Sound is good on its own but we like to hook a speaker up to it as well.

Achat super! Soufflerie silencieuse, image super, utilisation simple. Seul soucis, le son n’est pas assez fort mais avec une enceinte bluetooth c'est parfait

El proyector funciona genial, es una solucion para ver la television en lugares dificiles, sin tener que hacer agujeros ni pasar cables. El sonido no es el mejor del mundo, pero si aceptable, se oye bastante bien en un ambiente silencioso, hace un pequeño ruido del ventilador interno, pero no molesta para nada. Lo tengo en la mesilla de noche y me duermo. En cuanto a la calidad de la imagen, no esperaba una gran cosa, pero al proyectarlo sobre un fondo blanco, me sorprendio gratamente, a mas oscuridad, mas calidad. Al ser android y tener la play store, no eche en falta ninguna app que tengo en mi smart tv. Por poner una pega,agradeceria que pensaran en el anclaje, ya que tiene en soporte la tuerca para fijarlo en un tripode, podrian en algo para fijarlo a la pared, sobre el cabecero, o al techo..., es algo que se agradeceria, al menos en mi caso

Ich habe den Gimbal 3 Beamer eher spontan gekauft, weil ich neugierig war, ob so ein kleines Gerät wirklich etwas taugt. Inzwischen bin ich richtig froh über diese Entscheidung, denn der Projektor hat sich als vielseitiger Allrounder erwiesen, den ich in den letzten Wochen fast täglich nutze, sowohl zu Hause als auch unterwegs. Was mich sofort überzeugt hat, war die einfache Einrichtung. Man klappt den Beamer auf, stellt ihn auf den Tisch und innerhalb weniger Sekunden ist er einsatzbereit. Dank Android 11.0 kann ich direkt über Apps wie Netflix, YouTube oder sogar die ZDFmediathek streamen, ganz ohne Fire TV Stick oder Laptop. Besonders praktisch fand ich das beim letzten Kurztrip: Ich hatte den Projektor im Rucksack, im Hotelzimmer einfach mit dem WLAN verbunden, an die weiße Wand gerichtet und direkt einen gemütlichen Filmabend gestartet. Keine Kabel, keine komplizierte Technik. Auch zu Hause kommt er regelmäßig zum Einsatz. An warmen Abenden habe ich ihn schon auf dem Balkon aufgestellt – Decke, Popcorn, Bluetooth-Lautsprecher dazu, und fertig war das Open-Air-Kino. Im Wohnzimmer habe ich mir mittlerweile eine kleine freie Wand freigehalten, weil ich ihn so oft verwende. Die automatische Keystone-Korrektur funktioniert dabei zuverlässig: Selbst wenn das Gerät schräg steht oder leicht versetzt platziert ist, passt sich das Bild automatisch an, das spart viel Zeit beim Aufbau. Die Bildqualität finde ich für die Größe und Preisklasse wirklich stark. Natürlich ersetzt er keinen 4K-Beamer im Heimkino, aber das native 720p-Bild wirkt trotzdem klar und angenehm, besonders bei Filmen oder Serien mit viel Farbe und Bewegung. Abends, wenn es dunkler ist, kommt das Bild richtig zur Geltung. Ich habe kürzlich eine Doku über Island geschaut, und die Naturaufnahmen sahen erstaunlich lebendig aus, ich war ehrlich überrascht. Einziger kleiner Nachteil ist der Lüfter: In sehr leisen Filmszenen hört man ihn schon, besonders wenn man keine externen Lautsprecher nutzt. Das hat mich anfangs gestört, aber inzwischen nutze ich meistens meine Bluetooth-Kopfhörer oder eine kleine Box, damit verschwindet das Geräusch fast vollständig. Besonders beeindruckt bin ich von der Stabilität der Verbindung über WiFi 6. Streaming läuft bei mir reibungslos, auch wenn mein Router nicht direkt nebenan steht. Die Bluetooth-Kopplung klappt ebenfalls zuverlässig, sogar mein älteres Soundsystem wurde sofort erkannt. Alles in allem ist der Gimbal 3 Beamer für mich viel mehr geworden als ein Gimmick. Ich hatte gar nicht erwartet, ihn so oft und in so vielen Situationen zu nutzen – aber inzwischen gehört er fest zu meinem Alltag. Ob gemütlicher Filmabend, spontanes Streaming mit Freunden oder Präsentationen im kleinen Kreis: Der Projektor ist handlich, schnell eingerichtet und macht einfach Spaß.
