It will definitely leave glue residue behind. Hope this helps. **Q: Is there a difference between these and the regular scotch heavy duty fasteners?** A: This is the EXTREME fastener. It holds 10 pounds. The next lower, or "regular" fastener holds only 2 pounds. That is the difference. **Q: Does this stick to fabric?** A: Not designed for fabric.
