Brake controller fit well in my 2020 f150 xlt. Right in the slot where the oem one sits. You need forscan to have the gain settings show on your dash, so be prepared, don't say it doesn't work unless you follow all the steps. As far as functionality, it works great. Thank you!

You get what you pay for.. Really, dont waste your hard earned money on this. Lots of people are having issus with this not working correctly. Me included. Diving deeper into the system, it is a poor design internally, almost no heat disapation on the output mosfet, it will get hot. almost hot enough to soften the plastic near the mosfet. I think this is a reason it drains peopls batteries. Theres a reason the OE units cost more.. Unfortunatly, this time I did spend the money for a legit replacement and havent looked back. No issues. I added this for my RV in dash brake controller install. The pros: It fit perfect, there was no issues. installation was easy with only needing to remove 6 screws. The cons: Poor electrical design clone. no heat dissapation, fried product. (and yes, i know what im doing)

Item was exactly as described and shipped promptly! Was easily to install and had a dealer to program it into the truck.

Does not detect the trailer (it's a brand new trailer). I took the vehicle to the dealer and had them enable the trailer brakes. The display shows trailer disconnected when it's actually connected. Don't waste your time or money on this.

Easy to install. Just make sure your capable of telling the computer that it has one installed now.

Ford part that was cheaper online. Had to have a dealer install so they could “activate” on my ford truck.

Didn't work for our vehicle. For a 2018 Ford F-150 with the tow package, it is best to buy an OEM switch from Ford directly. We enabled the trailer control module using Forscan software but the switch never worked. This was the second off brand switch we purchased from Amazon and installed trying to save money and the second one we returned. Kept getting trailer disconnected message and none of the settings were available to change. It looks the same and fits the same but there is something about the pins and board in the connector that didn't operate the trailer brakes. This might work on other vehicles but it did not work on ours. We installed the OEM switch from Ford and it worked immediately. Just be advised that it may say it is compatible...but it isn't.
