Review: Great story line... - Love the story, the artwork and how things line up with the characters. Good start to series two. Can't wait till the next book
Review: Tom Taylor's Excellent Return To This (Interquel?) Series - I was a big fan of Tom Taylor's work in the first couple of volumes of Injustice, and then I was a little less enthusiastic about the remainder of the series when he stopped writing it. But this sequel series, which takes place between the first and second Injustice games (Injustice 1 sequel? Injustice 2 prequel? Injustice interquel?), is an awesome return to form. Tom Taylor is back, all cylinders firing, as he introduces more DC staples into the Injustice World (the Suicide Squad, Ras Al Ghul, Blue Beetle), and Batman struggles to create a new, stable world order after defeating the tyrannical version of Superman. The beginning of the series is admittedly a little clunky. There is a lot of quick setup to get major pieces in place and introduce the main conflict between Batman and Ras. But there is no doubt that the magical synthesis that Taylor worked the first time around is here again. Little moments, like Black Adam interacting with Kara, a single-issue story about Booster and Blue Beetle, and even little cameos from Vixen and Animal Man together (I am a major Animal Man fan for reasons I won't get into), show Taylor's prowess with using DC's rich history in refreshing but logical ways. If you even remotely liked the first series, or have any curiosity about this alternate DC universe, I definitely recommend jumping into this one too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tom Taylor Returns to the Injustice Series with the Prequel Series for the Video Game Sequel
*by C***E on January 8, 2018*

Tom Taylor returns to the tie-in franchise that he helped make a surprising must read. With the release of Netherrealm's excellent Injustice 2 comes a new chapter in the prequel comic series that delves into the deeper world of this What If universe. With Superman defeated by the heroes of Earth 1 (the events of the first video game), Batman and his allies have a firm grip on the world and must decide how best to lead it: as conquerors like Superman or as a new cabal of people hoping to use their resources to help the world? Unfortunately, as anyone who has played Injustice 2's campaign knows a larger threat is looming with Brainiac (the book does include a great final issue that recaps the opening of said game's campaign and shows us Supergirl's final moments on Krypton before being lost in space). For now, Batman and his friends must contend with a new foe trying to fill the power vacuum of Superman's regime: Ra's al Ghul. Daimen's grandfather has returned and has his own collection of heroes and villains working to "make the world a better place" in Ra's image. That includes the Injustice universe's version of the Suicide Squad who forcibly pull Harley Quinn into their ranks. Harley was THE standout character in Taylor's first foray in the Injustice books and she remains the brightest spot here. Also we get some great scenes and back story about how Black Canary and her new doppleganger Green Arrow return to Injustice's world to help Bats out. The final stand out sequence shows us what happens to Ted Kord in the Injustice universe while setting up Jaime Reye's Blue Beetle. All in all it is fantastic to have Taylor back on the series since the first round of Injustice comics took a sharp dive in quality after he left the creative team.
