Waterdrop FF-03A Replacement Carbon Block Filter for FC-06 Water Filter Tap

I bought this as an under-counter one was too big for my new build (see my other reviews). It really is quite a beautiful thing, well made and looks classy on the tap. The ability to switch between direct and filter water is a boon and is as simple as turning a leaver on the tap - easy. Fitting was delicate as the threads on the tap are very fine so take your time and don't force it. Water quality is noticeably better, you really really can taste the difference and, when you remove the existing aerator from your tap and see the junk inside, you will realise you have made the right choice. Absolutely no leaks whatsoever and installing the filter into the unit was easy peasy (and obviously educates you as to how to replace the filter when you need to). For the money, this is a no brainer. Honestly, you will notice the difference in your drinking water, tea, and coffee straight away. A well respected company so I'm confident this will last and that filters will be available. For the price, and the cost of bottled water, you will make your money back quickly. Get one, you won't regret it.

I have been using filter jugs for as long as I can remember but whilst the TDS ppm was relatively low, the taste was metallicy probably from the magnesium that’s in it and was getting worse, regardless how often I would change the filter and descale my kettle. I wanted to try something new but as I’m not a plumber to put something within the pipes before the taps. I came across this filter that attaches to the faucet. It came in a sealed box, with individual compartments for the components and easy to understand instructions. It was easy to fit but as my faucet is old, it was slightly leaking but after adding the supplied plumbers tape, it stopped leaking. The appearance of this filter is really nice. Not too big you cannot get anything underneath it. Compatibility with my mixer faucet was great, as you are supplied with two adapters, male and female, depending on your faucet thread. You can use the filter area for cold water, turn the lever and get water, both hot and cold through the non filter section. So, here’s what you might want to know. My unfiltered water direct from the tap was 290ppm on my TDS meter and 215ppm after it filtered into my jug. With my new faucet filter. 258ppm TDS and filtered into my jug was 175ppm. Yes the figures has improved immensely but the best thing, is the taste of the water brewed for a cup of tea. It tasted so clean. No metallic or bad taste. Just virtually pure clean water. Really pleased with this water filter. While it isn’t extremely cheap at base value, comparatively to other brands it is great and it actually works and isn’t just a silly gimmick. It is really well made and the water tastes great. The size is quite big for our medium sink, however you can just move the faucet out of the way and it is quite versatile with how it can twist and turn to be able to get things in the sink while having it on the faucet. You just turn the lever to turn the filtering on and off making it super easy to use. It’s not very heavy and my tap can withhold the weight. Thus far the water filtering has been great. I’ve been using it for about a week and it takes the edge off of the taste of water. I did struggle with the faucet adapters and contacted customer service where Krystal was fantastic. They gave me good advice and suggested trying different adapters. I bought new adapters and the water filter fixed to the tap nicely. Thank you Krystal for your amazing customer service, they really went above and beyond to give me a good experience and offered me some complimentary water filters for the trouble with the adapters. It’s really easy to set up and the box comes with easy to follow instructions. Waterdrops company really takes pride in ensuring that you get sorted out and to give you a good experience. Thank you!

They first one I received was a "Used-like new". It had clearly been used, there were water marks in and on it, the booklet had water stains all over it and the cartridge wasn't wrapped, it had grey marks on it from being used too. I didn't expect it to have actually been used. I have bought a new one now and am very happy with it. It was easy to fit and after moving from a soft water area, I noticed the water here wasn't very nice and having this has improved the taste.

Great quality product, easy to install in minutes. Works really well and the water tastes so much better. I live in high chlorine area and that is filtered out, leaving great tasting fresh water. Had the water drop machine before this but it stopped working after 3 months and customer service is rubbish. So this is a lot better option.

The water filter did not fit even with the supplied adaptors, so I reached out to customer service for help. The rep Anna provided great assistance. Unfortunately, the company didn’t have an adaptor size I needed, and it wasn’t available locally which required me to order the part online. That became an ordeal because the package was lost in transit, so I had to order the part again! Anna checked in multiple times throughout this headache until my issue was resolved. It took a month to finally be able to install the filter and test it. I am satisfied with the product and the improved water taste. Most of all, I’m very thankful for Anna’s help and great customer service!

Wipes out the chlorine taste which was my main issue. Filtering out other nasties is a bonus. Pretty cool to be able to do an instant side by side test of filtered and unfiltered water! No leaks when static, very clean. One thing to mention is that rotating it to the left causes the nut to unscrew, which will eventually cause leaking (see video). But you can remedy that by just holding the nut when you turn. However if you rotate it a lot and don't always have 2 hands free, it could get annoying. In my case I can't see why I'd move it often, so not much of an issue. Installation - very easy in my case. Didn't need the adaptors. I saw a review saying it went on easy the first time but not the second - same thing happened to me, it was because some gunk from the old tap head got dislodged and into the thread. Cleaned the thread and no problem. Currently looking like great value for money. I'll amend if otherwise.

Although it look weird and reduces water flow when bypassed slightly, it was fitted to my tap within a minute and works surprisingly well, even fits behind the tap outlet rather than off to the side which’s is better, plus the water flow through the filter is actually quite good and above all I’m hoping this will drastically reduce the amount of plastic water bottles my family is going through.

J’ai donc voulu opter pour ce système bien sympathique / je ne sais pas si cette marque est liée à la même est reconnue, marque de celle qui propose des boissons aromatisées. Je me suis laissé tenter par les nombreux avis, que ce soit ici ou bien sur le site de TrustPilot. — 🙂 - Je m’attendais à pas grand chose, d’après tout, je filtre, histoire de dire, parce que j’habite un bâtiment récent et je pense ne pas avoir vraiment de souci à me faire. J’utilisais une carafe Action pour vous dire 😅 - 🚰 - Filtrer l’eau ne lui donne plus aucun goût, comme de l’eau en bouteille de chez Cristalline, en vrai, c’est fou ! En vrai, ce n’est pas un critère pour moi, parce que je suis le seul bizarrement le goût de la javel dans l’eau 🤨 Il est dur de trouver des certification, qui enlève tout ce qui est micro polluant, et tous les polluant hormonaux. Ou alors il faut opter pour des systèmes plus chers, plus complexe à installer. Dans tous les cas, cela filtre, bien mieux qu’une simple carafe, beaucoup plus rapide, car la pression de l’eau fait en sorte que cela franchise, l’intégrité du filtre, rapidement en plus. - Il faut bien penser une fois l’installation faite, de bien laisser l’eau s’écouler pendant trois minutes, histoire d’actionner le filtre et de bien le rincer de ses impuretés ! Dans tous les cas, je suis bien content, et je me dis qu’en cas de problème de canalisation, ça peut toujours être utile .. À savoir qu’en France on a quand même un bon système de filtration d’eau déjà .. Posséder ce filtre m’apporte plus une satisfaction personnelle que peut-être une réelle utilité, avec les cochonneries que nous mangeons déjà chaque jour 🙂‍↕️ Dans tous les cas, j’en suis content pour le moment ! Même plutôt surpris !

I finally decided to get rid of my bulky water pitcher and installed the Waterdrop WD-FC-06, and I couldn't be happier with the switch.
