Rick Steves Paris

The Rick Steves Paris guide is everything a traveler hopes for. The explanations are clear, the walking tours are thoughtfully mapped, and his insights make the city feel less overwhelming and more like an invitation. It balances essential landmarks with local gems, giving you the sense of exploring Paris with a friend who actually knows where the good stuff is. Practical, well-organized, and genuinely helpful from the first page.

So far so good. I love how the book is organized. For example, you can use the table of contents to focus on what interests you such as specific locations you would like to visit. You can learn how to avoid tourist traps or how best to travel around the city. The book is on the small side. I wish it were in a larger print format but it does have a lot of information packed into it!

Great book! Rick goes into great detail on the many sites, restaurants, places to stay, shopping and many things to see and do - and the things we could skip! We used a number of his wonderful audio tours as well. Wish I had bought the book earlier in the plannings stages of our trip. Paris was as wonderful as I had remembered from my trip when I was very young! Definitely recommend this book.

We bought this for an upcoming trip to Paris. We have used Rick Steves in the past, and his company's service has been reliable. Bear in mind that prices and data constantly change, so don't expect any travel book to be 100% up to date. The value of the Rick Steves book is for general information, advice and ideas on planning your trip.

Rick's book was very helpful for a recent trip to Paris. Information was accurate and gave us a great game plan to see the sights

I thought there would be more color pictures in this. Other than that - this book as the info I needed. Very logically laid out.

I looked through several books at the library before settling on this one. I think it's got the best tips for a successful trip. So many books put a focus on hotel and food options when in this day and age, you can just check yelp or google reviews (even internationally). The best books help you understand how to use your time wisely and make the most of your trip. This book does this well.

This book gave me the confidence I needed to plan a trip to Paris. I was wanting to go, but had no idea where to begin. Rick Steeves' guide was full of usual informafion, such as choosing a hotel, planning museum tours, finding good restaurants, etc. The book had it all, and I'm happy with the purchase.

Do not buy from this site. 'm sure the information in the book is good but mine is a poor copy. 1st 28 pages are good, shiny & coloured. But the rest of the book is thinner pages and only black & white so wondering if its a fake copy

All his books are exceptionally great and helpful. The back of the books always has a treasure chest of useful aides when traveling. I have several of his books and will continue to buy! Excellent for planning ahead.

Informative, easy to use, and a must for any traveller, whether it's your first time or not visiting a foreign country. The RS guide books are some of the best available. By all means check out those written by other 'brands', but don't make the mistake of ignoring a RS guidebook.

14 years ago we started traveling and we used Rick Steve's traveling advice and books. Over the last 10 years we have planned all our European adventures on our own but based on Mr Steves approach. We have been to Paris 3 times and will go this year twice and decided to once again re-visit the 2025 Paris edition. Well worth it! Current prices, great travel advice, and excellent sight seeing suggestions. Highly recommend this book.

Planning another trip to Paris and have not seen enough of it. I could go every year for the rest of my life or better yet simply move there ( not so simple ). This book still opens my eyes to more to do and see and also I simply enjoy the writing and style and simplicity of that writing in the book. Thank you Rick :)
