Couldn't wait to try this on my stairs. The carpet on them was matted down and vacuuming wasn't working. The Carpet Fluffer didn't disappoint! The stairs look like new. It took a little time and energy and I can see how the product may not last with heavy usage, but very well with the price.

Got this for a carper that was really matted. Worked really well on a mildly matted rug but only partially on a really matted rug. I would say it improved the look of both carpets but the less matted one looks new and the other doesn’t. Would suggest getting and using before carpet is really bad.

This tool is super helpful for crafters who make Latch Hook Rugs. Gets rid of shedding fibers and fluffs nicely. I highly recommend.

I had a ten year old carpet in a motorhome, and it was quite compacted and worn in high traffic areas. I tried several different tools to try to fluff it up. This one wasn’t the least effective, but it wasn’t the best, either. The best tool was prone to breaking. This one isn’t. It did fluff the carpet some, but not without a ton of work, and only in a limited fashion. I think this tool might work well if your carpet wasn’t very matted down. Mine was just too far gone. The other tool, which looked more like a mini metal garden rake, did better on my matted mess of a carpet. But it wasn’t as sturdy as this one. This one had the added bonus of being beloved by my cats! It isn’t an effective hair remover, but they sure love to be stroked gently with it! Buy this if your carpet is fairly new. Don’t buy it expecting miracles on and old, matted carpet.

I have a medium-shag rug in my living room and the area in front of my easy chair has been looking a little matted. I tried to revive it was a carpet rake, but that didn't quite do the trick. I'm glad to have found the Carpet Fluffer, as it works great! It revived those compressed fibers and then my vacuum was able to really clean the area. It makes the carpet look almost as good as new!

So far this is working well for me and the carpet on my stairs really needed it. It’s a low pile carpet and this does a good job of separating and fluffing it up. Pull it towards you like a rake. Also, you should rake at it from several angles to go against the direction it is matted. This will help you to get under it and get the best lift/fluff. Best is to immediately vacuum afterwards to take advantage of it and suck up the dirt and gunk that was matted in there. It’s made of sturdy plastic but my only complaint is that I wish the head was just a bit bigger to cover more area with each swipe.

Love this for my carpet fringes! Works like a charm! Wish it had a longer handle so I can use it standing up lol, but recommend this for carpet fringes. Won't damage fringes and detangled with ease!
