High-Quality, Reliable, and Packed with Features
The Anker Steam Deck Docking Station is a premium accessory that transforms the Steam Deck into a versatile desktop gaming setup. Built with Anker’s signature quality, it has a solid, compact design that sits securely on any surface without wobbling. The multiple ports—including HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, and Ethernet—provide seamless connectivity for monitors, peripherals, and wired internet, making it perfect for both gaming and productivity. Setup is plug-and-play, with no drivers required, and connections remain stable during extended use. Video output is crisp and lag-free, and USB devices respond instantly. The dock also allows charging while in use, eliminating the need for extra cables cluttering your desk. While it is slightly pricier than some generic alternatives, the durability, reliability, and polished performance make it well worth the investment. For Steam Deck owners seeking an all-in-one docking solution, this is a top-tier choice.

A must for a Steam Deck Owner
I love how sturdy this is, since it’s metal you can chuck it into a bag to take with you and doesn’t take up much space and it’s lightweight. Cable is long enough to click into a steam deck, and does also work for a Nintendo switch if you flip it upside down. Looks great on a TV. Also works in desktop mode but only has 1 HDMI output and no DisplayPort so if you need 2 monitors you’ll need to daisy chain. Has a USB A slot for a wireless keyboard and mouse dongle or controller charging. I’ve gotten confused between the 2 USB C slots as one is for power to charge the Deck and the other is for connectivity. Love this thing

Great dock for a Steam Deck at a discount price
I never expected this to work as well as it does and a lot cheaper than Valve's dock at £69.99. Made from sturdy metal with rubber feet to prevent slipping, power inlet (charger plug),hdmi slot so you can play your games on a larger screen and a usb for controllers (you will have to configure some key to buttons as some games are only partially compatible with controllers (community controller settings templates are a thing and if there are one or two buttons you don't like, you can edit them for more comfortable play style) This dock looks good, can fit almost anywhere and is not easily knocked over by furry friends who may want to swat at it.

Why Spend More?
I got the ROG ALLY X to fit, although it is a very snug fit. It has to go in completely straight if you try at the angle you won’t get it in. Can’t say much for the hardware only had this dock a week, so far I’ve had no issues with the dock itself. Anker are usually pretty good, I like the fact that the dock itself feels premium due to the fact it’s metal.

Bang for your buck!
Fantastic little piece of kit - fits the Steam Deck perfectly, even in a case! Very easy to set up (quite literally plug and play), and very compact to put behind a television/monitor. Fast Ethernet and two USB-Cs (one for power, one for devices). Absolutely recommend, especially given the price compared to the official Steam one!

1440p modes were incorrectly blocked on Steam Deck
I returned this dock because it would not expose my Lenovo L24q-30 monitor’s native 2560×1440 resolution, despite the dock being advertised for substantially higher-resolution HDMI output. I tested this quite thoroughly rather than assuming it was the monitor or Steam Deck. The monitor’s EDID correctly advertised both: * 2560×1440 at ~60 Hz * 2560×1440 at ~75 Hz However, when connected through the Anker A83S1, SteamOS only offered resolutions up to 1920×1200. The Linux AMDGPU driver logs showed both 1440p modes being rejected with: `failed validation -- Exceed dongle capability` I also inspected the dock’s DisplayPort-to-HDMI capability data. The converter reported a maximum HDMI/TMDS clock corresponding to approximately 170 MHz, while my monitor’s 1440p60 and 1440p75 modes require 241.5 MHz and 299 MHz respectively. This appears to be why the AMD driver rejected them. The same monitor, Steam Deck and setup worked correctly after replacing this dock with another model (UGREEN 9in1 HDMI dock): both 2560×1440 modes immediately appeared. I also reproduced the restricted resolution behaviour using a Mac through the Anker dock, so this did not appear to be simply a KDE display-settings issue. The dock may work perfectly well with many monitors, and this could be a firmware or compatibility problem rather than a universal hardware limitation. But if you intend to use a 1440p high-refresh monitor with a Steam Deck, be aware that this particular model may incorrectly report its HDMI converter capabilities and prevent supported resolutions from appearing at all.

Anker never disappoints
I bought this for my steam deck. Direct internet cable connection showed the Latency of 17 with GeForce Now ultimate tier (definitely get it with your steam deck btw). Cable connected to docking station then to deck showed the latency of 19 which is exceptional considering the internet going through a middle device first and then to steam deck. PD 100w worked without any problem with a 100w single-port only USB-C charger (also from Anker btw). HDMI connects flawlessly as well. Peripherals USB-A port also directly recognised the controller with zero lag/latency. I haven't been disappointed with Anker until now. Been using the brand for 5-6 years at least. I will update this post in case in the future the docking station caused any problems but so far so good everything seemes very well way above average brands for a very good price. If you see this post like this without updates, know that the device is still working flawlessly regardless of the time you read this post.

Works well, significantly cheaper than the official Valve solution.
I've purchased quite a few Anker products over the years and they've all been of surprisingly high quality given their price. This handheld PC dock is of the same standard I'd expect from all their other products. It's significantly cheaper than the official Valve Steam Deck Dock, but the official dock does offer an included charger and DisplayPort out, which this does not. I already had a compatible charger on hand, and DisplayPort was not a concern for my setup, so this option suits my needs great. It has an anodized aluminum frame, kind of a silvery-but-not-gray tone to it. It has rubberized surfaces to keep the device in place in the dock and the dock on whatever surface you set it on. The braided USB-C cable seems to be thick and sturdy, and will likely hold up well over the long haul, assuming you don't abuse it. My setup has hardwired ethernet in and HDMI going out to an AVR. There's a few USB ports (A and C) that can be used to attach other peripherals like a keyboard and mouse, or a video game controller. I mostly use this setup for Steam Link / Remote Play with my desktop PC, to put the games "on the big screen", and for that it works well. There's definitely a lot of little setup things that need tweaking, but that's on on the software side and has nothing to do with Anker's product here. I'd definitely recommend this Anker dock to anybody looking to dock their Steam Deck or similar handheld PC and wants ethernet in, HDMI out, and a handful of additional USB ports. It looks nice, functions just as it should, and seems of high quality at the price point. Just keep in mind it does not include a charger; and you'll probably want one that's at least 45W -- Anker sells a nice one. :-)
