At the end of a walk she would be wet and muddy, especially in the winter months. Now things are a lot better, because most of the wet and mud goes onto the Puffa jacket and not onto the dog. The dog stays dry and warm, the jacket is easy to wash. I would have given 5 stars but it took me quite a long time to work out how to put the jacket on the dog. This coat fits the bill perfectly, I'm so pleased with it!. It's well-made and lightweight but has a warm fleecy linining. The claim that it's waterproof hasn't been fully tested but so far any mud/dampness has been easy to just wipe off when we get home.I measured my dog first and found that a Small size would just about fit her but I bought a Medium to be sure. I'm very glad I did buy the slightly bigger size as it means that the coat fits over her harness easily, which is great as there's a hole for the lead to come through.
