The Inhab EV Load Manager is a UL Certified, flexible load management system designed for both retrofit or new construction applications. LM1160 monitors the home’s total energy being used and allows an EV Charger or other large load to draw power only when there is capacity to do so. It prevents the system from getting overloaded by automatically disconnecting power to this designated load when needed. As homes become more electrified, there is an increased risk of reaching the maximum electrical capacity in homes. The Inhab Load Manager is the needed solution to your challenges with potential system overload. It is compatible with any brand load center (100A-225A), for use with any brand residential EV charger or other type of load that requires a 2-pole circuit breaker up to 60A. The Inhab Load Manager facilitates a connection to a branch breaker within the electrical panel, all without impacting the load calculation. This offers a cost-effective solution for homeowners, resulting in substantial savings on electrical upgrades, installation expenses, and materials.

Review: Horrendously written instructions - Device appears to be working. Instructions are downright incomplete to the point that nobody can get it to work unless they contact Siemens for support. I am experienced engineer. I have seen bad user manuals in my life. This one sets a new low. It is literally impossible to understand and, additional, key configuration information is completely omitted. Without this information it is impossible to get device to work. Siemens telephone support helped me, they sent me additional information by email. It is a mystery on why this information was not included in the first place. Also, instructions don't even try to address actual conversion from load rating to milliamp measurement that device show on its display. The tables in the manual don't work based on my measurements and experiments.

Whenever the total load is less than the preset amps, your device connected to the Inhab Load Manager will be fed power. This allows for smaller services to use heavy loads such as Level 2 EV chargers safely. This could be used for anything, not just an EV charger. You could for example use it to turn on heat or AC to an outbuilding, but only when the main building is using less than the preset amps. Very useful in particular niche cases. This is the device you need when you have a large load that needs to be connected to a smaller service, and you want the load to only run when the existing service usage is low enough to allow for it. It's a clever design that keeps you safe from overloads. Construction quality is excellent. Everything feels beefy and durable. Comes with nearly everything needed to install. The price seems a bit high for what it is, but compared to a service upgrade, it's very reasonable.

### ⭐⭐ It's annoying

Had to use this two times for ev chargers. Ui is hard to navigate, functions not clearly explained, no testing feature, CT's for the main wires are way too big, and the directions are just not that good. For something that costs almost $1000 I would expect better.
