Channel Islands Surfboards Front Traction Pad

I have been using these for my surfboards for about a year now. I never use wax anymore. It is an expensive way to put grip on your board but I think it is worth it. I have used them in warm water with just a sun shirt and bathing suit and had no rubbing issues. I also use some HexaTraction Clear Surf Grip on my boards around these pads to help with grip but keep the weight down. I can use only one set and the rear pad along with some of the HexaTraction grip towards the front to reduce weight towards the nose. No melted wax in the car and I can stack my boards with no fear of the bottom getting full of wax.

I put this traction pad on my softech flash. I didn't want to deal with wax on this board and wanted a maintenance free beater that was always ready to surf. I couldn't be happier. It works! Better traction that wax and I like the little bit of cushioning. It feels so solid on my stomach/chest when paddling. I wear a rashguard so I can't say whether it would cause a rash after a full day or not.

Installed on a 6 ft fish. Gives it a different feel and really like it. I have not had a really big day with it yet but helps drive through turns.
