Bristles enabled stain to get in between boards and splits in the wood. Product is well made enough to be able to clean and store for future use. Pole is rigid enough to be able to apply pressure when applying the stain. Rollers and pads are inadequate for deck staining as they will only stain the board’s surface. I gave it 4 stars only because a wider brush, say 6” would be of better use.
