I was recommended to find a shampoo with tar in it from my chiropractor because he too has/had psoriasis. I had never heard of black tar shampoo before! I hunted and looked around for something that wasn’t $50+ but also not a waste of my $25-$30. Liked the reviews from this brand and decided to give it a try! First time using was amazing! Got that cool tingle on my scalp, massaged it in really well with my scalp massager, and immediately noticed some mild relief. Now that was 8-10 months ago of consistent use 2-3x a week (following the instructions of letting the shampoo sit for 7-10min) and I’m so glad to say that the psoriasis has drastically reduced to where I’m not scratching my head to the point of bleeding anymore and the dandruff is all but gone!! Is my psoriasis gone? No. But to get this kind of relief after years! So effective, so worth the money! I have it an a recurring subscription and looking forward to trying their other products. PS: The conditioners is a great finish to putting moisture back in, making it feel all light and airy after all I put it through!

Doesn't have the burnt tire smell of normal coal tar shampoo and has a cooling affect for scalp relief

I’ve had psoriasis for years and my scalp has driven me nuts for most of that time. This combo seems to help me better than anything I’ve tried. I have prescription steroid solution, and I still use that, but much, much less, since finding this combo of hair care. Give it a try! I will be ordering it again myself.

I used coal tar shampoo many, many years ago. This product is much improved. It doesn't have the greatest smell, but when you rinse and dry your hair it is not noticeable at all. Follow the instructions to use it at least twice a week, and leave on scalp for 5 minutes and you will notice relief from the first use. I recommend and will be ordering again. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to use it for awhile before your scalp heals, you will still feel some itching for awhile, but this product is worth the money.

Something has changed. It seems thinner now. Less efficacious. Now it’s Meh!

i used T-gel religiously until it was discontinued. since then i've scrambled to try to find something that even comes close. all the pharmacy brand coal tar stuff smells terrible and doesn't work this is the first dandruff shampoo i've found in years that actually works. my dandruff is GONE. and it actually smells good. like tea or something. if you need a t-gel replacement GET THIS!!

Works great for the psoriasis in my thick hair. Definitely follow the directions and leave it in for the recommended time. Took about a week (used 3 times a week) and I noticed the flakes had decreased significantly! Will buy again!

Would recommend 100% for dry flakey scalp that is out of control! A must to use with Roycederm shampoo. I used the shampoo every day for a week. It wasn't as flakey but my scalp was still very dry and felt uncomfortable. The conditioner is the icing on the cake! It leaves your hair so soft and yet manageable and my scalp feels fantastic and flakes r almost gone after using it 3 times!

This product came well packaged and in good condition, in a timely manner. For the first time in years I can go several days without maddening itching of my scalp. I have only used it for two weeks, but am optimistic. Sure, the shampoo has a medicinal smell, not nearly as strong as some of the other brands I have tried, but it works! The smell mostly washes out, and the conditioner smells much better. I have naturally curly hair, and therefore frizzy if I don’t use a finishing product. The treatment cream fills this purpose nicely, as well as feels good on my scalp. I don’t mind the smell.

Not so good. The itchiness on my scalp still persist and still getting the flakes. And the scent gave me headaches, I’m scent sensitive.

Bought the shampoo conditioner and scalp treatment for my son who has pretty bad seborrheic dermatitis. We have tried several products but this seems to be doing the trick. I am very impressed with this product. We have been using it for 2 weeks. Still some mild flaking but over all a great improvement.
