I've owned a few JBL products over the years, and this definitely lives up to the legacy. There's no way something the size of an American Football should fill a 2 bedroom apartment with this much sound without having to be stupid loud. Sound- bass forward while still being clear. High end sounds great, mids are good, bass is great, though it does cut off some super low bass. Battery- I've had it running for 12 hours at a medium volume (which is plenty loud in my apartment) and the battery was still at 20%. 15 hours is believable. Range- about 150 feet, without obstructions. Way more than I'll ever need. Connectivity- I haven't had any issues, when connected to either my computer or phone. Portability- unless you have extra large hands, you'll need both hands or the strap. It's a little awkward without the carrying strap. Added bonus- the strap has a bottle opener built in. Water resistance- it survived a surprise downpour with no problem and that was after it took a tumble off a counter top onto a tile floor (the cat's a terrorist). My only real issue is the fabric coating. It's difficult to keep clean. It grabs every piece of stray cat hair, dust or fuzz that floats by, and could almost be considered a de-shedding tool for animals that rub up against it. I wish it had speaker phone capability like the Charge does. There's been a couple times where that would have come in handy. All in all, it sounds way bigger than it is, has good battery life and if you watch for deals it's worth every penny.

Después de leer tanto comentario y después de haberla probado concluyo lo siguiente: 1.Si lo que buscan es audio alto, deben acceder a otro tipo de bocinas, como la boombox 3 en adelante. 2.Este tipo de bocinas como la charge 5 y extreme 3 están diseñadas para un volumen “decente” para convivios, días de alberca, playa etc. Pero más personalizado. 3.Respecto a las diferencias que se habla mucho entre charge 5 y extreme 3, pues es verdad que no hay mucha diferencia las dos ofrecen calidad de audio, sin embargo hay que resaltar que la Extreme 3 ofrece una mejor experiencia en bajos y medios por contar con salida estéreo, además de un volumen y potencia ligeramente más alto. 4.Leí que se recomienda comprar 2 charge 5 lo cual mejora el audio dando una experiencia estéreo, y si bien esto es cierto, ya no es muy práctico el andar cuidando o lidiando con dos bocinas (y se pierde la portabilidad). 5.También leí quejas de que venía con conector tipo europeo, quiero aclarar que la mía ya venia con conector normal como usamos en México. 6.Personalmente me siento muy contento con mi compra, bocina 100% nueva, original y hasta ahora ha cumplido muy bien. Además de que es muy bonita y llama mucho la atención a donde la llevo.

Me parece que tiene un sonido muy equilbrado entre las distintas frecuencias, los graves son profundos y marcados, no opacan a los medios ni agudos. A un volumen alto no distorsiona, tiene muy buen nivel de volumen, escucho diversos géneros de música y todos se escuchan muy bien, destacando más o menos las frecuencias dependiendo el género y calidad de la grabación, el sonido grave de los radiadores pasivos destaca más con el reggae y lofi hip hop. La duración de la batería es muy buena, no tengo una cifra exacta, aproximadamente más de ocho horas a un volumen medio (reproduciendo audio de películas y series) y aún queda batería para más. Muy satisfecho con la compra y el producto además de un excelente precio.
