Not only is it functional, but the surface is very soft and the memory foam holds up for a flat and very comfortable surface for your keyboard and to slide your mouse on. I like how it kind of surrounds your body, very cozy. The elbow rests keep you sitting upright with your arms resting at a comfortable level. The detached cup holder is an added bonus and the inside, being water-proof, helps prevent any damage to the integrity of the the fabric. You can also reposition the pieces to make for a very comfortable backrest to recline on. I would 100% recommend this product. It’s perfect for keyboard and mouse, reading, gaming, writing, and more uses than I can think of. So happy with this purchase!
