High Tech Pet MS-5 Power Pet Door Collar with 2 Replacement Batteries

I have had a PowerPet door for about 16 years now. I replaced my original door about 7 years go, because I got a larger dog - that one is still working, as we changed out the entire door and just kept the old door with the old PowerPet.This collar replacement is much better constructed than my original collars, and works quite well with my older door of 6 years. The batter comes installed so you don't need to insert one of the replacement batteries, it works right out of the package once you pull the little protective tab.I appreciate getting the two additional batteries. I really like these doors, and while they can be an expensive initial investment it is well worth it for many reasons.

These work really well and I’ve been using them for years. My complaint is about the batteries - the company wants you to use theirs, but you can get way cheaper ones on Amazon that work just as well. And even if you use the companies batteries, there’s only a 90-day warranty so after that, there’s no reason to use their batteries. Buy the collars and door mechanism, but use cheaper batteries. Great value.

High tech company is wonderful! They help you every way possible!

Best invention in the world for this lazy mom with 3 dogs. Of course you need the door to go with them, but these magical little collars let my dogs let themselves out whenever they so please. They work just fine and run on a disc battery. I wish I didnt have to unscrew a screw to change the battery. Would prefer a convenient clasp or something instead, but its probably for dog safety reasons so I won't complain.

They don’t last long. At 54 per one (i have 2dogs) it’s extremely expensive to keep purchasing replacements. Very unfortunateUpdate: this company is amazing. They refunded my money for my last purchase directly from them. I couldn’t believe it. I am revising the review to 100% satisfied. Thank you for such a quick response

works great except collar works itself loose.

It is on the very expensive side. I will admit, but I’ve been using it for years with my cats and it does keep the cats away from the doggie door. You have to change the batteries every month on both the cat collar and on the receivers. The units themselves last a long time, they are made really well. I’ve had some cracks and minor brakes, but none of them have ever stopped working. The initial purchase is expensive and the batteries changing once a month can’t get expensive but for me it’s worth it to keep my cats in.

I'm going on my 5th collar in two years. The backs of these constantly crack and fall off. It's very cheap quality for the price. Mind you, I have two very lazy English Bulldogs; I can't even imagine if I had active dogs.
