Sealed my Simms bootie seams, no patch needed
The trick to a clean result is prep. I cleaned the spots and leak-tested first with isopropyl alcohol to find exactly where it was going, then applied a thin layer and let it cure flat and horizontal. Do that and the repair basically disappears. You cannot even feel it inside the wader against your foot, which is what you want when you are standing in water all day. The one thing to plan for is the cure time, a solid 8 to 12 hours before you use them. I let mine sit overnight. There is a separate Cure Accelerator that gets you to about 2 hours if you are in a hurry, but I was not. So far so good, and it is holding. It is a staple in my kit now. If your waders start leaking at a seam, this beats replacing them, and you may not even need the patches. Prep the surface, cure it flat, and give it the time.
