I have kept this on my desk, and I use it when I sleep in an odd position and get a knot in my shoulder/back that keeps me from comfortably taking a deep breath without feeling a pinching discomfort. I put it between me and the back of my chair, and because of all of the angles and the shape and stiffness of it, this is perfect for this purpose! Do you ever have those days when you just wake up with a tight spot you can't reach? I do. Then I have to sit at a desk for work. I have found this to be incredibly helpful, technically "off label" to help out with these spots. I wish they showed a picture of it used in this way, because I used to try to use a tennis ball but this is 10000% more effective because of the angles and shape. It allows for me to keep it kind of in one spot and kind of lean into it, without it moving too much. Honestly, it has saved me quite a few "emergency" massage appointments for range of motion concerns. Hopefully this review reaches someone it can be helpful for, because this little device has really changed my day for the better many times since I have owned it. Disclaimer - I have never used it on my neck, ever? But it is perfect for use as I described it, and I wish they would market it more for this additional use! It is difficult to reach back pressure points without a second person or while sitting at a desk... it is honestly perfect for this!

This is a "different" tool to use but very effective. It is great for working out the knots in the muscles but it is hard to get use to. I use it against the wall for the upper back and scapula areas working in smal circles or up and down motions to work the trigger points. I tis great on the floor for the neck! Especially at the base of the skull. The directions say that it can be used to massage a partner but I don't like how it feels . I can't "feel" the muscles I am working. But it is good to massage my legs and glutes as long as there is oil to help with the friction. I to recommend it for anyone who needs to do self massage and trigger point pressure.

Easiest $22 I’ve ever spent. This is by far the most effective solution for muscle knots I’ve found other than professional help, chiropractor, massage. I’ve had limited success applying pressure with tennis balls, corners, canes, stretches. A friend of mine introduced me to the DaVinci Tool. Within 10 seconds of laying my back/shoulders on it I knew it was going to work for me. I felt some sensations I’ve lost return to my right hand. Instant order. I’ve been dealing with muscle knots that have been affecting my ability to play instruments for about two years after some stress injury/strain. This tool means a lot when it comes to continuing what I love to do as well as general wellness. My shoulder hasn’t felt so good in a couple of years. The tool is good quality and light weight. Definitely well designed, every side serves multiple purposes. Find some good stretches that work for you and give this tool a try. I will be recommending DaVinci Tool to a lot of people. I got the red one, which supposedly is NOT extra firm...but it's like a rock. I'm 6'2" and athletic and I can barely move this thing when I squeeze it. I do not think it is appropriate for neck use, the gap seems too narrow. Also when place on the floor it is too "high" putting strain on your neck, if it was an inch or so shoter maybe it would be better. If you only want intense pressure exclusively at the base of your skull then it will work for that.

I've tried to enjoy this but never have. It's not wide enough to provide sufficient coverage in the occipital region. The only edge that isn't uncomfortable is the rounded edge. The other two edges really dig in, to an uncomfortable degree and provide too much pin-pointed pressure. It is so high compared to its base that it is easy to wobble and suddenly change where it is working in the neck. I don't consider this functional for me and I am finally finished using it (permanently). I needed something that provides comfortable stability in my head and neck so I can relax and this isn't it. The material in the red one is still very firm.

I was having neck pain due to stress that I was holding in my upper back. My physical therapist tried this tool on me and it relieved the pain so completely that I purchased one for myself.

Die Idee ist sehr gut und prinzipiell mag ich das Massage Tool. Aber mir ist es dann doch etwas zu gross um sich damit den Ruecken oder die Schulter zu massieren.

I've been using this for months now and it is great for getting at those difficult to reach knots (unless you can afford a Physio). After a few minutes of use, the tension is relieved. Obviously, it won't reach all parts because of the shape but it's great. Just lie on the floor or bed and adjust your positioning and weight to suit. I will use this for a long time and was using it last night on my neck.

Brilliant. Placed it on the back of my head once a migraine started creeping up. It dulled the pain. Loosened my neck as well. Been popping and cracking like I was half my age. At one point my ears made a phfzz sound gradually and pressure released. Useless for other areas though, but my main reason of purchasing was for headaches.

Very good,it gets into them tight knotted spots.
