What does "blower" refer to in the title and how are the balls selected?

Purchased this for our church. "Blower" with some machines means there is an actual electric blower that shoots out the bingo balls. On this table top model, there is a tumbler with a manual hand crank that rolls the balls into the side tray.Easy access, and easy to operate:)
