Worked perfectly out of the packaging. Didn't need to put any codes or fiddle around with it in any way. This was perfect because for whatever reason the buttons on the TV didn't work. I highly recommend this item as it is perfect and stress free.

Stopped working
I thought this remote was great, instantly worked. It stopped working yesterday, tried new batteries, tried everything would not work. ??? Don't understand why. I must say, my son checked it and the new battery was defective and the remote is working fine. I felt bad about the bad review, however, I put in new batteries twice, not really seeing the problem was the battery.

Works as expected
We have an older scepter tv and at first weren’t sure if it would work. Much to our excitement, it did! No more getting out of bed every time we need to adjust the volume or tiredly shuffling to turn it off before sleep. We didnt have to program anything at all and all the buttons work. Great quality of life purchase in my humble opinion.
