Fantasic Refurbished Printer
This was an excellent purchase. The quality of the shipping, the package insert included power and USB cable and a starter toner. The actual item was in excellent condition and worked perfectly. Bravo!

Great HP product with amazing print quality
Can't go wrong with HP. Clear, crisp copies every time.

The Printer should work out of the box. It did not.
When a typical printer is purchased, you unpack it and plug it into your computer and off you go. That's not the case with these "renewed" printers. I had to hire a highly skilled software engineer to make it work; he spent over an hour before it sprung to life. I spent more on the software guy then I did for the printer. This is clearly not a bargain as it stands. The vendor should MAKE THE PRINTER WORK BEFORE IT IS SHIPPED!!! That would be a simple matter for the vendor.

Best for the price
Simple easy printer. If you need legal paper printing it might not be the right printer.

It works great. This is my second printer.

Came without memory in the printer
I received an entirely defective printer. Sending an extremely simple print job causes the printer to run out of memory. Tried so many fixes and none worked. If there was any quality control, it should have caught this problem

Truly rotten instructions, and the printer balks for no reason
This printer makes beautiful copies, yes. But the instructions were so bad it took my computer genius friend over two hours to install it. The instructions with the printer make a big deal out of showing where the plug goes, which I could have figured out for myself. But there is also talk of a cable that should be disconnected (if I want wireless) and more talk of a cable that should be connected, a USB cable, which is not included with the printer. I didn't even know what kind cable to order, because the instructions didn't tell me--there are many kinds of USB cables. There was one narrow little slit on the back of the computer where a cable might go, but I didn't know if this was an anonymous little slit or an important slit. The instructions, which explained so pointedly how to find the ON/OFF buttons, did not mention this little slit. However, my computer genius friend managed to get the printer going, and it works most of the time. But sometimes it tells me that it's offline, and I have to play games plugging and unplugging it. If the paper tray doesn't have a full inch of paper in it, the printer tells me that it needs paper. I load paper, but it still refuses to print what I want it to, because it doesn't know there's paper. The printer will print little pamphlet-type bits of information of other things it can do, so I know it CAN print, but it won't print the document I'm working on. I find this frustrating.
